July 1, 2021 Pay Plan

PAY RAISE IMPLEMENTATION INSTRUCTIONS (For the July 1, 2021 Pay Increase)

This document provides guidance in preparation for the July 1, 2021, increases for state teammates.

Classified Rules-Covered Teammates

Classified rules-covered teammates will be eligible for a 2.0% Pay for Performance increase per the guidance below:

? Teammates who met their goals in Calendar Year 2020 (rating of at least 3) are eligible to receive the 2.0% merit increase.

? New teammates that didn't have goals in Calendar Year 2020 but successfully completed their probationary period by December 31, 2020 are eligible for the 2.0% increase.

? Teammates who didn't meet their goals in Calendar Year 2020 and new teammates still within their probationary period on December 31, 2020 are not eligible for an increase.

? Agency Temporaries or SOS Temporaries are not eligible for the 2.0% increase.

Agency Heads and Discretionary/Non-Classified Teammates

? Pay increases for these categories will be determined by the appropriate appointing authority. ? Appointing authorities are encouraged to use the guidance for rules-covered teammates as an

aid to judgement for determining increases.

Labor Contract-Covered Teammates (NAPE/FOP 88/SLEBC/SCATA)

? Teammates covered by labor contracts will receive increases as directed by the provisions of their 2021-2023 labor agreement.

? Information on labor contracts, including the recent training on labor contract changes, is posted here:

Additionally - Please Note:

? Pay ranges will only be adjusted as noted in labor contracts or pay plans which are available on the State Personnel () and Employee Relations () websites. Any updates will be available on the websites by July 1, 2021.

? Teammates at or above the maximum rate of their class pay range are eligible to receive the increase.

? Teammates in a non-paid status will receive the increase upon return to a paid status. ? If an employment offer has been extended for a job beginning after July 1, 2021, with a salary

above the July 1, 2021 hiring rate, the agency may withhold the July 1, 2021 increase. ? Agencies may request that the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) provide mass updates

for all of their teammates' July 1 increases. A separate email will be sent outlining the technical details of the mass upload process. Please note that any increases uploaded by DAS must be
