Teacher Grant Program offered by the Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union

Enfield, CT ? May 31, 2017 - The Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union (TVTFCU) is offering two grant awards, of up to $500 each, to members of the credit union. The funds can be used for implementation of a new or improved program or project which can include equipment, supplies, materials and training. Educators who are TVTFCU members and are employed at a school in the towns of Enfield, East Windsor, Windsor, Windsor Locks, Somers and Suffield may apply. Anyone who is employed at a school in the fore-mentioned towns and not currently a member can become a member by opening a Savings Account at the credit union.

The credit union was established in 1936 by a group of Board of Education employees to provide financial services to school employees and their families in six Connecticut towns. "We understand the financial constraints teachers have. We hope these grants can assist in some way and have a positive effect on both the teacher and the students." said Lori Triba, CEO/Manager of the Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union.

TVTFCU's field of membership includes: All public and non-public school employees who work in the towns of Enfield, East Windsor, Windsor, Windsor Locks, Suffield and Somers, Connecticut; Enfield High School students; Employees of Community Health Resources and Employees, commissioners and volunteers of the Enfield Fire Department, plus, spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union, persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment, members of their immediate families and organization of such persons.
