Classes meet on Mondays @ Community Bible Baptist Church, 3535 Mohican Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Each class meets for 8 weeks (half a semester).

Each course is a one (1) hour credit that can be used as Continuing Education for lay people or pastors, or toward an Associate in Christian Ministries degree through Leavell College of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary extension center in Baton Rouge, and/or toward a Bachelors of Ministry through Leavell College of NOBTS in New Orleans.

Each course costs $100 with a one-time $25 registration fee.

The purpose of the Biblical Teaching Certificate is to provide supplemental training for ministers and local church leaders in biblical interpretation and instruction.

Course Descriptions: BIUS1153: Introduction to New Testament Study: The Early Church. This course is designed to provide a survey of the early church.

BIUS1152: Introduction to New Testament Study: The Life and Letters of Paul. This course is designed to provide a survey of the life and letters of Paul.

BIUS1151: Introduction to New Testament Study: The Life of Christ. This course is designed to provide a survey of the life of Christ.

BIUS1111: Introduction to Old Testament Study: The Historical Books. The course is designed to provide a survey of Genesis through 2 Chronicles. This study consists of a brief overview of each book, including pertinent research information.

BIUS1113: Introduction to Old Testament Study: The Prophets. This course is designed to provide a survey of Isaiah through Malachi.

BIUS1112: Introduction to Old Testament Study: The Writings. This course is designed to provide a survey of the writings of the Old Testament.

BIUS1180: New Testament Bible Course. This course is designed to acquaint the student with pertinent background information of selected New Testament books.

BIUS1140: Old Testament Bible Course. This course is designed to acquaint the student with pertinent background information of selected Old Testament books.
