FASHION GROUP INTERNATIONAL DALLAS

GOES TO THE DOGS!

Four Legged Fashion: Canine Meets Couture set for May 14, 2010

DALLAS – Mar. 22, 2010 – There will be lots to bark about come May 14 when Four Legged Fashion: Canine Meets Couture stages its Second Annual fashion dog-fest benefiting Fashion Group International (FGI) Dallas’ Four Legged Fashion Fund.

Dogs dressed to the nines will strut down the doggie runway in custom creations from designers across the country. Items to be featured will include fanciful coats, dazzling collars, frilly dresses for little four-legged princesses, sumptuous dog beds fit for a king, clever dog bowls, and even a modern dog house or two. The entire FLF collection of fashionable dog gear will be displayed and auctioned off during the evening.

This fabulously fun, furry pup-tail party raises funds to support local animal rescue organizations that focus on rescue and care, adoption, education, and the reduction of animal overpopulation. Last year, FGI Dallas donated more than $6000 in grant money to three animal rescue organizations through the Four Legged Fashion Grant Fund.

WFAA-TV’s Good Morning Texas host, Amy Vanderhoeff, will emcee the evening’s events, along with the help of FLF mascot, Frank The Tank, a sweet-faced mixed breed who was rescued and later adopted by FLF founder, Terri Tomlinson.

Sponsorships available range from Mastiff Level at $8000, to Teacup at $1000, with a new “Best In Show” VIP package offered this year featuring a VIP table for 10, professional portrait, and a coveted spot in the Doggie Fashion Show for one’s cherished canine companion.

Lending their paws as sponsors this year are Dallas Market Center, RSC Productions, Boutique Pet Shop, Campbell Wagner Runway, The Petropolitan, Barefoot Wine and Bubbly, Brad Hughes and Associates, and BabyLou Pooch Couture.

Designers participating in FLF will be announced at a “Dog Party on the Patio” from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at State and Allen Lounge, 2400 Allen Street in Uptown Dallas. Guests are invited to bring their four-legged companions.

Four Legged Fashion: Canine Meets Couture opens its doors for cocktails and hors d’oeurves at 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 14, at the Grand Pavilion, Dallas Trade Mart, 2050 North Stemmons Freeway. General admission tickets are $75, with VIP seats at $125 and tables of 10 at $1000.

Fashion Group International is a global non-profit professional organization with more than 6,000 members in more than 30 chapters representing all areas of the fashion industry.
