COMM2676: Peer Feedback for WIP Research PresentationFeedback for: Boris, Fern, Will and RomyFeedback provided by: Emma, Jared, Sofia and Rhani Fake News groupCredibility vs Fame / Rise of the celebrity wellness guruEach team is to provide constructive feedback* about the project and presentation of each project group in their class. When you watch the presentation each member of your team should complete a feedback sheet. At the end, your team will have the opportunity to synthesize and consolidate the individual feedback into one group response.*Constructive feedback is specific, thoughtful, balanced, and provides suggestions/alternatives (if appropriate). Please consider the following criteria (and prompt questions) while you watch each presentation and offer your feedback in the table below. CRITERIAFEEDBACK & COMMENTSRESEARCH AND ANALYSIS: In-depth understanding of the topic, context, and key terms of the issue? Well articulated and convincing analysis of the situation?Demonstrated evidence of research, clear insight, and use of primary and secondary sources? The group continued to articulate their content well. They understood the key issues in the topic and effectively relayed that to the audience. Would’ve been beneficial to include more evidence, such as anecdotes and quotes along with more primary and secondary research so as to get a deeper look at the problem and their analysis and interpretation of it. Would’ve also been beneficial to see more key terms. They demonstrated a high level of knowledge surrounding their topic which instilled a sense of confidence in the audience when looking at and understanding the group’s plan. Great use of graphs, visual stats.Research i quite limited to simply robotics and automation but not the issues surrounding the ethical questions around AI used in facebook, cambridge analytica etc. the graph provided informations what happened during the past yearsSTAKEHOLDERS AND AUDIENCE UNDERSTANDING/EMPATHYComprehensive understanding of stakeholders involved in the issue?Articulated specific details of relevant target audience/s?Demonstrated empathy with specific target audience/s?How well does the team understand the needs/motivations and communication preferences of their target audience/s?Is the understanding of the target audience/s evidence based? Had a clearer understanding of their stakeholders and explained it well. The visual accompaniment in their PowerPoint was useful to refer to when listening to the types of stakeholders. Target audience is too broad and was unclear. Seperating the main audiences of your product/plan/campaign was confusing as it didn’t specify who was the primary group or if there was one at all. A clear distinction between primary and secondary target audience would be helpful -Mentioned the audiences fear surrounding the topic and offered a solution that could be beneficial to them.no evidence of who is actually fearing the automation and why very limited stakeholders, could maybe include more?PROBLEM DEFINITION AND PROJECT PURPOSE:Clearly identified/defined gap/s or opportunities/problems in the existing context and media landscape.Articulated relationship between gaps/opportunities/problems and the identified target audience and issue.Indication of the project’s purpose (i.e. what the team wants to achieve with their project)?Have identified the problem and narrowed it down, making the topic easier to follow for the audience‘Fear for the future’ was a catchy and interesting way to phrase the essence of the issue. Acknowledged their orginal solution wasn’t viable but worked on the idea so that it still served the target audience and stakeholders.Their council inclusion works well and makes sense for maximising community engagement and awareness of automation in their community.PRESENTATION SKILLS: How well was the presentation structured? How clear was the content of the presentation? How effective was the delivery and style of the presenters? What was the quality of the supporting resources (e.g. visual aides)? How professional was the presentation? Presentation wasn’t too text heavy which made it straightforward and helped with audience rmation was structured well and was accompanied with an eye-catching visual design. The presenters were easy to understand and delivered their content confidently showing they understood their topic and enjoyed working on it. EnthusiasticSolution equals: remove more jobs? Council jobs are paid for by the taxpayer, People would expect to pay less rates if less people are doing these jobs. Not really any clear demonstration of how this will address the concerns of specific stakeholdersOverallWhat are the best 2 aspects of the project and presentation?Summarised their project well. Each group member spoke clearly and professionally. Enthusiasm.Well researched. They already have a website, good progress. Good enthusiasm just seems lack refined ideas. What 2 suggestions do you have to improve the project and/or presentation?Understanding who your target audience is and why they are the ideal demographic is important to know and understand so you can communicate it effectively to the audience. More clarity surrounding this would’ve been helpful as it was somewhat unclear. Perhaps a few examples of personal anecdotes surrounding the negative perspectives of automation would be something interesting to include as the audience can see the issue on a more personal level and subsequently, the steps the group is taking to combat it or persuade the people who are in that group. Look at launching it in a certain location, doing a certain job. Then point out future possibilities.More justification about target audience. elderly. Especially when you said you wanted to focus on council.Pass off the blame of negative assumptions onto movie stereotypes.Carefully consider how each stakeholder will react to the announcement or implementation of this program Would the council support a program which takes away council jobs. ................
