■ As an Organization Change Management program manager, directed a team of twelve healthcare IT clinicians to facilitate rapid transition to national standards established by Catholic Healthcare Initiative corporate leadership. Under my direction my team was able to rapidly and proactively identify and resolve dozens of high-priority project and program level issues to resolve patient safety concerns, regulatory compliance problems, and ensure smooth reimbursement.

■ As Practice Director at HCTec, responsible for establishing practice standards for all service lines including go-live resources, junior and senior analysts as well as project advisory services to include project management, program management, strategic planning, and vendor selection.

■ As a Program Manager at premier children’s hospital in Orange, California, led all technological efforts related to adding four major services from scratch in a new, half million square foot facility. New services at this facility included Laboratory, Radiology, Surgery, invasive Cardiology, non-invasive cardiology, and Emergency services. Software responsibilities included installation and configuration of Cerner Electronic Medical Record components: RadNet ®, PathNet®, SurgiNet®, FirstNet®, and Capacity Management. PACS installations for included Fuji for Radiology and Siemens for Cardiology. Blood bank installation included both Cerner components and a separate donor system. Telephony responsibilities included a new PBX switch, ASCOM phones and DECT antennas, pager system and DAS to support cellular signal saturation throughout the new facility. Hardware responsibilities included deployments and configuration of computers, computers on wheels, printers, scanners, and peripherals including Cerner’s new iBus technology. Low voltage responsibilities included a nurse call system and remote temperature monitoring systems. Significant program management responsibilities included mentoring, staffing, budgeting for hardware, vendors, and services, leading a team of seven project managers, procurement planning and execution, and biweekly reporting to the organization’s executive leadership. Instituted customized reporting methodology to provide transparent issue management to the entire enterprise.

■ As a Program Manager at a large, for-profit hospital organization, led the design, upgrade, testing, and implementation of McKesson Horizon Expert Orders, Keane IMed Optimum, and HMS solutions for CPOE. The purpose of the program was timely compliance with ARRA requirements for Meaningful Use. Created and maintained project plans and related Project Web Access sites to support project execution. Managed teams as they executed my projects plans. Created template project plans using organizational process assets to mentor and support other project managers.
