Regular registration will continue through May 10, 2013 but after that date all late registrants will start the race at the back of the line. Time trial start is arranged by swim time, with the regular registrants starting first, then first timers, with late registrants bringing up the rear. VOLUNTEERS - WE NEED YOU!

If you aren't able to race this year, please consider volunteering. Our next volunteer meeting is Wednesday, May 8 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Holiday Inn Express in Fairhope. If interested in volunteering, please contact Mobile Baykeeper Deputy Director, Tammy Herrington via email at therrington@. Past volunteers are also asked to come to the volunteer meeting to find out updates on race day operations.

Endurance Imaging is proud to have been selected as the Official Photographers for The Springhill Medical Center Grandman Triathlon. Endurance Imaging will photograph all athletes and make these photos available on the web a few days after the event.

PACKET PICK-UP

Below are the confirmed dates and locations for racers to pick up their goody bag and race packet. Mobile Baykeeper staff will be at each pick-up location to answer any of your race questions. As past racers may recall, there is no race day packet pick-up. PLEASE NOTE: As USAT classification of Clydesdale (220lb +) and Athena (165lb +) have changed, it has been recommended to us by USAT to have racers with those classifications weigh in at packet pickup to ensure correct category placement.

GCAT GRANDMAN TRIATHLON TRAINING

The Gulf Coast Area Triathletes are hosting a training about how to participate in a triathlon from start to finish. This is a great class for first-time triathletes as well as those who want to tlearn a little extra from people who have participated in 100 triathlons combined.

Lessons that will be covered: 1. Proper setup of your transition area 2. Entering/Exiting the water 3. Getting in/out of T1 4. Proper way to get on the bike 5. Getting in/out of T2 6. Correct way to cross the finish line!

Jubilee Kids Triathlon - Page & Palette and Multisport Performance Institute (MPI) are planning their third annual Jubilee Kids Triathlon the day after the Grandman on Sunday, June 2 at 7:30am at Fairhope Municipal Pier in Fairhope, Alabama.
