SUMMARY:

Manages and coordinates all technical elements of stage production. Works closely with venue users to produce stage productions including lighting, sound, scenery and rigging; scheduling crew and facility requirements; provides accounting for performance expenses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversees and coordinates the staging of lighting, sound, video, and other equipment and assets, as required for individual performances.

2. Oversees all event stage crew personnel in technical and safety procedures for theater, equipment, and personnel.

3. Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems; participates in professional development activities as appropriate.

4. Ensures adherence to established University and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards.

5. Ensures fire codes are met.

6. Maintain a clean working environment.

7. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Thea 196, Thea 386 or Thea 396.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience in technical aspects of theatre, dance, and music productions.

• Experience with computerized lighting systems.

• Knowledge of design lighting and sound systems appropriate for each performance.
