Seeking children/teens (ages 4-18 years) to participate in a study

of social and communication

You and your child/teen are invited to participate in a research study of language and social development in children and teens.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PARTICIPATING? Learn about your child's/teen's development and research Free developmental research assessments (language, learning, and social) Improve understanding about development and developmental disorders There are no direct medical benefits

WHAT WILL BE INVOLVED? Assessment may be completed at your home, your child's/teen's school or in our center and if necessary can continue later (total: about 2 and a half hours) Parents complete questionnaires about the child's/teen's cognitive, social, and behavioral development (about ? to 1 hour) Sessions are video recorded (and kept confidential) for later scoring

WHAT ARE THE RISKS? Your child/teen may get tired, bored or frustrated. Breaks will be taken as often as needed. If necessary, testing can continue on an additional day. We will be flexible in scheduling appointments.
