Why?[pic]

• It is to save time and effort.

• And it is the HoDs' role to train teachers.

• There should be a practical side through training by dedicating part of the meeting for practice.

• There would be visitors from the International Bank to see what is happening here and there.

• It is a must to get grade 6 teachers to attend the local training and take part in the task to be involved.

• There would be new teachers to be nominated for grade 7 course,

• There was a thorough look at book contents especially the synopsis.

• She discussed the difference between the content Map and the synopsis.

• Teachers should inform Ss with the outcomes .

• Teachers have the freedom to choose what she thinks is ok.

• Present the new lexical through contexts,

• Don't limit your teacher with the activities in the book.

• No one complete period for grammar.

• Add questions which address the higher level of thinking.

• Opener is different from setting the scene.

• Ss' centered classes are better than Teacher's centered one.

• We need to share ideas , ask each others.

No harm if I we ask questions and wait for answer from colleagues

• We change as the world is changing, so it high time to think of changing our way of teaching.

• We have to develop the competences with curriculum standards.

• We have to vary our teaching ways as one size does not suit all.

• Never mention two classes in the same daily plan.

• Teachers should elicit competences from the lesson.

• Don't teach Voc. In isolation but in context.

• When teaching grammar we should follow " meaning, use and form"

• Mr. Rushdy added : We should teach grammar functionally and teach functions grammatically.

• Discussion should be within groups not only T.& Ss.

• We should promote the logical, critical and creative thinking within Bloom's Taxonomy.

• Always add feedback for Ss to know their mistakes.

• Mrs. Huda added:-

• As for the opener, no specific competencies to be mentioned but just activities.

• No educational Values.

• It advisable to use a game, a video as opener plays the role of warming up.

• In the closure step we can write " what did we learn from today's lesson? Or how can we use the,,,,?"

• Train your Ss to do the project from the beginning of the unit.

• In the reflection step " Ss are able to do so and so.." Teacher: I need to change my ……"

• Teachers of grade 6 should choose the suitable competences to be developed and the suitable activities about the competences.

• Ts should pay attention to the way they give their instructions " Verbal and non Verbal"
