The curriculum in the M.A. in Medical Sciences (MAMS) Program is closely aligned with the first year medical curriculum at Boston University School of Medicine. Students select from current course offering in consultation with their Faculty Advisor to best reflect their interests and background.

The program requires enrollment in four semesters and can be completed in 12 months by utilizing the two summer semesters. The total cost of tuition is the same for both the 12 month and two year path.

Cost Deadline

Of the graduates who apply to a medical school, approximately 70% are admitted into medical schools in the U.S., from pool of Boston MSMS grads, usually 25-30 students are accepted into Boston University School of Medicine each year.

Also accept Canadian and International student applicants. $44,226 There is no deadline for the Medical Sciences Program. Applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis until the end of August, or until the class reaches capacity. Recommends application submitted by July 1

MAMS Oral Health Sciences Track student, will take courses at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) as well as courses offered through GMS at the School of Medicine.

Since the Program's inception in 2005, 88 students have completed the Program and 69 have been accepted to dental schools.

Drexel University College of Medicine

Description: Offers a variety of programs that help better position students and professionals for careers in the health sciences. These courses prepare students for entry into medical, dental, optometry, chiropractic, podiatric and veterinary medical schools.

All are one year certificate programs. However, each program offers another year of study for those wishing to pursue additional coursework that will lead to a master's degree. Students can decide whether one or two years of additional coursework will best aid their particular situation in gaining acceptance into a health professional school. The optional second year benefits students by allowing them to further demonstrate their academic abilities while in the application process.
