*Status Change: If you wish to discontinue the practice of accountancy, you may select "Inactive" or "Retired" status on the renewal form. If renewing to "Inactive" or "Retired" status, you do not need to complete the required CPE. However, while in inactive or retired status, you may not use the title "certified public accountant" or the abbreviation "CPA" unless it is immediately followed by the word "inactive" or "retired", designating the licensee's selected status.. To reactivate the certificate, you must file an application for reactivation and submit evidence of the completion of 120 CPE hours obtained within the previous 3 years. Active Renewal Required Documentation: Completed expired renewal form, expired renewal fee, letter of work history detailing time since expiration of license, CPE worksheet and certificates meeting requirements pursuant to IC 25-2.1-4-5.
