Typically UT Martin Education majors are ready for admission to the Educator Preparation Program by the second semester of their sophomore year. While a content area GPA is not required for admission to the program, it is a requirement for being recommended for licensure. We find that if students have obtained the 2.75 cumulative GPA, then they also have a 2.75 GPA or higher in their content area and professional education coursework.
