Chemistry Project Manager

BioScreen Testing Services, Inc is a well-established industry leader in consumer product and pharmaceuticals testing with over 30 years of experience. The company provides testing services to the Pharmaceutical/Biotech, Medical Device and OTC/Personal Care industries. BioScreen has established itself as a leading cGMP contract-testing laboratory. The company is focused on the highest quality standards and has obtained laboratory approval to test pharmaceutical products for many of the industries leading companies.

The Chemistry services division is expanding to meet client demand to help support CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) submissions to FDA.

Job Description: Chemistry Project Manager

The Project Manager will oversee method development and validation projects within the department and follow cGMPs to ensure adherence to FDA and ICH guidelines. Projects may involve methods utilizing HPLC, GC, ICP, AA, UV-Vis, titrations and other wet chemistry instruments and therefore the candidate must possess expertise in one or more of these areas. They will work with QA and clients directly on IND and NDA projects. The candidate will be responsible for protocol, data review, method, SOP and report generation, which will require excellent communication and writing skills. The Project Manager and staff may work with hazardous and cytotoxic materials. The candidate will help trouble shoot instruments and methods, and will interface with vendors in equipment repair, acquisition and qualification.

Education and Experience:

• Candidate must have M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry

• Minimum ten years’ experience in pharmaceutical analytical laboratory

• Minimum of five years of project management or supervisory experience

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge in analytical chemistry and method validation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to stay organized and proficient at time management

• Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask

• Ability to work with client and internal teams

This position reports directly to the Head of the Chemistry department and is responsible for administrative and scientific activities that facilitate laboratory and supervisory personnel to schedule and complete chemistry projects in a timely and compliant manner.
