Changes and additions to the syllabus will be announced in during the online class and/or via your website. You are responsible for all assignments in the syllabus and any announced changes thereto. All communications with students will be done using the students’ Oak ID. Homework: Homework problems will be collected each class. These will be graded on a 15 point scale as follows: 6 points for neatness/organization, 5 points for completeness/effort and 4 points for correctness. Students are expected to turn in all homework. No late homework will accepted. Attendance: Students will attend all classes. Stock ReportsYou are you pick two companies for your analysis. One of the companies you pick is to be one which you believe is extremely undervalued. The second report is to be on a company you believe is extremely overvalued. Your report is to be an analysis of the company using all the tools you have learned. You are to present your interpretation of the results of your analytic tools. Your report must include all the ratios you have used, a First Law valuation and support of your expectations. The report for each of the companies is to be no more than 6 Pages long. The report for the Extremely Undervalued is due on June 23. The report for the Extremely Overvalued is due June 30th. All reports will be run through “Turnit .” to check for originality and plagiarism. If during your analysis you find your initial assessment was wrong, that is ok. You are to continue with that company analysis. You must also include an argument as to why your initial assessment was in panies chosen must trade regularly on an American Exchange. They may include ADRs. Every student must choose a unique company. (That is, no student may pick a company another student has selected.) The Company selection must be made in an email sent to me by June 9th. Your Professor:Your professor is in his twenty-sixth year at Ohio University. He received his Ph.D. from Penn State University in 1989. Prior to going back to school, he worked in public accounting for thirteen years. He has worked in large and smaller CPA firms. He was the managing partner of a local CPA firm, which consisted of three partners (including his wife, who is also a CPA) and a professional staff of five. The firm was located in Las Vegas, Nevada. He and his wife sold the firm in 1983. Prior to his moving to Las Vegas, Dr. Kirch taught at Ohio U. for one year. Dr. Kirch has taught internationally for OU including teaching in Brazil, Malaysia and India. He is a beekeeper. He also has a strong interest in forestry. He obtained both his BBA and MBA from Ohio U. He has three daughters. His youngest daughter, Cindy, graduated from OU eight years ago and now works at Ohio Health. She had her first child, Brynn in 2017 and in July of 2018, her second, Brayden (Dr. Kirch’s eighth grandchild). His middle daughter, Suzie, graduated from OU in 1998. She is an ENT surgeon at Mt Vernon Medical Center. She gave him his fifth grandchild- Charleigh, who is now three. She also gave him his seventh grandchild, Declan in April of 2018 and is working on his ninth, due in May 15, 2020. His oldest daughter, Debbie, graduated from OU in 1997. She is a CPA and now works as a stay-at-home mom. She is the mother of his first four grandchildren, Kylie, age 16, Josh, age 15, Ryan, age 11 and Colton age 9. ................
