Coordinate the ESL supplemental certification program at the undergraduate level, ensure consistency among the 5 sections of each of the required ESL courses; maintain the organization of the website that hosts additional curriculum materials for instructors in the program, as well as advising ESL pre-service teachers. Involve with the Lohman and Transfer Learning Communities. Teach prospective teachers theories of second language acquisition, teaching methods, instructional strategies and modifications to assist English language learners, and the assessment of second language learners. More than half of the course is taught online: Second Language Instruction and Assessment, and Second Language Assessment. Also, at the undergraduate level teach the historical and philosophical foundations of education in a multicultural society: Foundations of Multicultural Education.
