activities related to adult and family literacy issues.

2006-2009 Research Assistant to the Committee on More Flexible Worklife Faculty Policies and Programs, Michigan State University, Office of the Provost, Academic Human Resources. Assisted with the creation and revision of policies on faculty worklife issues. Additional responsibilities included development of a faculty exit survey and faculty worklife website ().

2008-2009 Research Assistant to the Infant Care Task Force, Michigan State University, Office of the Provost. Assisted with the development of an

assessment survey for MSU’s junior faculty infant care needs.

2003-2005 Program Advisor, Doctor of Education Program, Rossier School of

Education, University of Southern California. Provided academic

advising for doctoral students on matters of curriculum, course and

degree requirements, transfer credit evaluation, graduation counseling,

dissertation submission and degree progress.

2002-2003 Graduate Assistant, Office of Orientation, University of Southern California. Organized and coordinated on- and off-campus orientation programs, in addition to recruitment and selection of orientation student advisors.

2002-2003 Academic Support Counselor, Center for Academic Support, University of

Southern California. Provided academic and career counseling to undergraduate students admitted under provisional admissions requirements.

2008-2009 Program Evaluator, College of Education and College of Engineering, Michigan State University. Program evaluator for National Science Foundation grants on Real-Time Interactive and Collaborative Cyberinfrastructure for Teaching and Training for Hands-on Nanotechnology.

2006-2008 Research Assistant, Center for Integrative Research, Teaching and Learning, Michigan State University. Project assistant on National Science Foundation grant to enhance transition from graduate education to the professorate. Examined the nature of inter-institutional networking and relationships of the institutions involved in the grant.
