FOR 444: Wilderness Management for Professionals

Wilderness management requires a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates historical, cultural, political and ecological knowledge. This course examines how wilderness is created, protected and managed from an agency perspective with a specific focus on current and emergent wilderness management issues.

Textbook Information No textbook is required for this course; readings will be provided weekly as PDFs on Blackboard Learn.

Course Dates, October 5 to November 20, 2020

The class begins October 5th with asynchronous online sessions and requires web access and an NAU email account. Course readings and quizzes can be accessed online beginning October 5th. The last week of class will include Zoom synchronous lectures and student presentations. The course is 100% online for Fall 2020.The course will be 100% online for the Fall 2020 semester.
