The Information Technology Generalist 1 will focus on Jenzabar Student Information Database support in addition to maintaining local campus LAN / WAN, workstations and Servers. Candidate must have strong knowledge of MS Exchange, SQL databases (SQL Server 2016/2019) used by college’s Student Information System and web portal, MS Office Suite, website support, application development and W10 OS. Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Prefer applicants with working knowledge of Jenzabar EX/Jenzabar One. Upgrade systems and application software, provide user support.Essential FunctionsPerform day to day support of all Jenzabar Student Information Database modules used by TSCT including researching issues, developing solutions, and coordinating implementation of those solutions with the Jenzabar business users;Write scripts, queries and procedures as necessary to meet user needs in the Jenzabar Student Information system;Experience using InfoMaker Reporting software to generate reports within the Jenzabar Student Information system for users;Using TSQL queries to access information within the Jenzabar Student Information systemTrain faculty and staff in using Jenzabar;Write documentation and training manuals on existing and future Jenzabar modules TSCT may implement; Troubleshoot and resolves remedial problems with network, workstations, and servers relating to Jenzabar Student Information System;Perform Jenzabar, Windows Server and SQL Server upgrades and patch updates as needed by TSCT to stay current and securePerform workstation migrations and image refreshing;Works directly with college's staff and faculty on Jenzabar, network and computer related issues;Good oral and written communication skills;Related math and data analysis skills;Must be able to lift 40 lbs; andPerforms other related duties as assigned.Qualifications include:Associate's Degree plus three year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services preferred, and an Associate's Degree in any information technology field, MCSE or MCITP a plus; ORFive years of information technology experience in applications development or application maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services preferred.
