Writing Letters to the Troops

Writing Letters to the Troops

Letters from home are the biggest morale boost to military personnel serving far from home. Just knowing that someone cares means the world to the men and women who are sacrificing so much for our freedom.

Due to security reasons, we cannot release names and addresses, but you can write general letters and we will mail them over for you. If you are writing letters to the troops, we encourage you to do the following:

1) Address the letter "Dear Service Member" or "Dear (Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman, or Coast Guardsman)."

2) Thank them for serving.

3) Remind them that people back home appreciate what they are doing and are grateful for the sacrifices being made for our freedom.

4) Let them know what is going on at home (sports, movies, weather, etc…) and tell a little about yourself.

5) If you would like to include your address, you may hear back from the military personnel who receive your letters. However, due to many circumstances, we cannot guarantee a response.

We will then include your letters in our care packages and send them to our troops overseas.

Thank you for your support!
