WPHS BAND & ORCHESTRA

BOSTON TRIP

APRIL 27, 28, 29, 2012 (SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY)

I give permission for _________________________ to participate in the WPHS Band/Orchestra trip to Boston on April 27, 28, 29. I understand that the estimated cost of the trip will by $330.00 (or $325.00 for those who do participate in the raffle sale because a small amount of money per raffle ticket sold goes to offset the cost of chaperones and rooms for the bus drivers). I further understand that the payment schedule will be as follows:

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

(Please make checks payable to “White Plains High School”)

Friday, Oct. 26: $40.00 nonrefundable deposit

Friday, December 14: $145.00

Friday, March 8: Final payment of 145.00 (or $140.00 for those who sold at least 5 raffle tickets)

PLEASE NOTE: The deposit is not refundable. The other payments are only refundable if another student can be found to take the original student’s place. If more than 136 students turn in a deposit on or before Oct. 26, a lottery based partially upon seniority will be held to determine who will be able to go on the trip. Any student bumped from the trip by such a lottery will, of course, have their deposit returned.

I further understand that students will have the opportunity to earn money to offset the cost of the trip through a raffle ticket sale sponsored by the WPHS Band/Orchestra Parents’ Association, and that the ticket money will be due prior to the prize drawing taking place at the December 18 Winter Holiday Concert. Parents or guardians will be asked to sign a more detailed permission slip governing student conduct at a later date.
