Medical Associates Clinic - Cost Comparison

General Implementation Overview

Please use this “General Implementation Overview” as a guide of what to expect once your facility has decided to proceed with Emdat. This is not a “Project Plan”, but simply an overview of what will take place.

1. Implementation “Kick Off” Conference Call: Emdat and the client will schedule the conference call. The client will be responsible for having the “Client Project Manager” and “Client Technical Contact” available for this call. The “Emdat Project Manager” assigned to the implementation will facilitate the call.

• Client Project Manager: This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the client responsibilities are met for the Emdat implementation. This person should have the authority to make decisions for the medical facility regarding dictation and transcription issues that may arise during the implementation.

• Client Technical Contact: This individual will have the access to the workstations where the Emdat system will be implemented. The access must include “administrator” access to local workstations. This individual will be responsible for the workstation installation of Emdat’s InSync (dictation upload software) application and InQuiry (web based transcription viewer) application.

• Emdat Project Manager: This individual will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed on a timely basis as well as ensuring that the client’s specifications are met. The Emdat Project Manager will schedule the necessary conference calls as well as help determine the “start dates”.

The “Kick Off” meeting will cover the collection of client information (work types, users, letterhead, signatures if applicable, etc). Also discussed will be the option for the client to send to Emdat electronically the schedule of patient appointment or the Admissions, Discharges and Transfers within the medical facility. This electronic file will ensure correct demographic and referring physician address information within the transcriptions.

From this “Kick Off” meeting, a detailed plan will emerge and dates will be set.

2. After the “Kick Off” meeting, the client’s specifications will be built into the Emdat software. Once complete, training will begin.

3. Training for Emdat is a very simple and requires very little time. Depending on the options chosen, the training can be anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. Emdat will train a trainer(s) within the medical facility. The training will include the hand held recorders (if any), telephone based dictation and web viewing of transcriptions (InQuiry).

NOTE:

It is important that all requests regarding the implementation be directed to the Emdat Project Manager. The Sales Director will participate, but all requests or changes should be directed to the Emdat Project Manager.
