Today was her sixteenth birthday and the KING promise to tell her more about her mother then finally go outside the castle walls tomorrow. LINDA reaches the bottom of the staircase and opens the door.Nine-year-old BASTIAN turn another corner in the school hallway on the last day of school. Turns his head and notice the BULLIES were still following him. Keeps running as BULLIES stops at the corner and spots him.BULLY 1:There he is!BULLY LEADER:Your dead third grader!LINDA kept running towards the Great Hall until she accidentally bumps into WILL one of the gardeners at the castle causing them both to fall onto the floor. LINDA is laying right on top of WILL and notices him.LINDA:(Quickly standing back up)Oh, sorry Will.WILL:(Standing back up)You don’t need to apologize your majesty.LINDA is already running towards the Great Hall.WILL:Wait Linda!LINDA ignores him and keeps running.BASTIAN reaches the third-grade playground area and climb onto the stairs leading towards the slide hoping to lose the BULLIES. BULLIES arrive at the area.(Continue)Continue:BULLY LEADER:(Stretching his arms stopping the other BULLIES)Hold it!BULLY 2:Can’t we get him boss?BULLY LEADER:There’s only one way for that kid to get away while we chase him.(Points at BULLY 3 and BULLY 4)You two keep going after him.(Turns to BULLY 1 and BULLY 2)The rest of you come with me.BASTIAN reaches the monkey bars and looks back. BULLY 3 and BULLY 4 are still chasing him. BASTIAN grabs the monkey bars and makes his way to the other side. BULLY 3 and BULLY 4 jumps to the ground and keeps chasing him. BULLY 4 reaches for BASTIAN as he and BULLY 3 gets nearer. BASTIAN makes it to the other side just in time and continues heading for the slide as BULLY 4 fails to grab him. BULLY 3 and BULLY 4 hits the platform with their stomachs on accident.LINDA sees the doors to the Great Hall and starts walking towards them.BASTAIN reaches the top of the slide but notices BULLY 2 climbing up before he could slide down. BASTIAN runs to the ladder and looks down. BULLY 1 is climbing up the ladder. BASTIAN looks back noticing BULLY 3 and BULLY 4 making their way towards him. BASTIAN looks at the pole realizing it was his only option left even though he didn’t like it. LINDA stops at the doors.BASTIAN grabs the pole with both of his hands.(Scene divides)BASTIAN and LINDA taking a deep breath at the same time.(Scene slides to the Castle of Oral)LINDA opens the doors.(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN slides down the pole as BULLIES 1, 2, 3, and 4 collide into each other causing them to fall on the platform. BASTIAN makes it to the bottom and turns to run but stops. BULLY LEADER is standing in front of him.BULLY LEADER:(Cracking his knuckles)Going somewhere kid?BASTIAN:Come on, school’s out for the summer. Can’t we call it quits?BULLY LEADER:No.BASTIAN moves to the side as BULLY LEADER throws a punch accidentally hitting the pole. BULLY LEADER:(Grabs his fist)Ow!BASTIAN looks up and sees BULLIES 1, 2, 3, and 4 starting to slide down the pole. BASTIAN runs under the playground. BULLIES accidentally land on BULLY LEADER.BULLY LEADER:Get off me you idiots and get that stupid kid!BASTIAN reaches the bus area and sees the bus doors closing. BASTAIN runs towards them and leaps into the opening. He makes it into the bus as the doors close behind him. BASTIAN gets up and notices BUS DRIVER looking at him.BASTIAN: (Getting his backpack on)Sorry I’m late.BASTIAN walks towards a seat and sits down. The bus drives off as BASTIAN looks out the window and sees the BULLIES were looking for him. BASTIAN lean back in his seat smiling.(Scene 2) Linda and the King.Great Hall of the Castle of Oral:LINDA walks into the Great Hall where KING sat at the head of the table looking calm.LINDA:(Smiling, excited)Father you know what day it is.KING:(Looking up at LINDA as she sat down)Yes Linda, I know it’s your sixteenth birthday.LINDA:And?KING:This is the day before the day you will go outside the castle walls with an escort.LINDA: (Expecting to hear more about her mother)And?Before KING could mention anything else the ADVISOR opens the door and rush towards him with an urgent look on his face. LINDA and KING turn their heads to him.ADVISOR:Your majesty the scouts have reported…ADVISOR notices LINDA at the table.ADVISOR:(Secretive)Um what you requested.KING immediately knows what he was talking about and got up from the table. LINDA looks at him in confusion.(Continue)Continue:KING: (Facing LINDA)If you can excuse me for a minute dear.A desperate KING and ADVISOR started walking towards the door.LINDA: (Frustrated)But father you promise to tell me more about mother!KING stops a few feet away at the door. His expression changes to being concern as if he knows something LINDA doesn’t. KING turns towards LINDA.KING:Linda…CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD opens the doors looking alarmed. All attention is drawn towards him upon his entrance.CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD: (Afraid but calm)Your highness, Rakuta has been sighted inside the castle!Everyone gasps at the word “Rakuta” knowing it is the name of their home world’s sworn enemies. LINDA wonders how it was even possible they would show up in the daytime.KING:Keep every light on and search everywhere immediately. We need to know how they got in.CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD:Yes, your majesty.ADVISOR and CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD exits the Great Hall leaving only LINDA and KING alone in the room.KING: (Facing LINDA)Linda return to your room.LINDA was about to ask for more information about her mother but notices KING’s concern. (Continue)Continue:LINDA:Yes father.LINDA walks out of the room.(Scene 3) Packing for the trip.Bastian’s and Tristan’s Bedroom:BASTIAN and his 13-year-old brother TRISTAN were inside their bedroom packing the last of their clothes for their family’s camping trip. BASTIAN wasn’t looking forward to it.TRISTAN:Relax Bastian, it’s only going to be for a couple of days.BASTIAN:Aren’t you a little worried?TRISTAN:Sometimes.MR. BENSON:(Voice)Boys…TRISTAN:Coming.TRISTAN grabs his suitcase and heads downstairs as BASTIAN sat on his bed and took out his childhood drawings of his favorite superheroes (Superman, Spider-Man, Buzz Lightyear, Sonic the Hedgehog, and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) wondering if his life could ever be as interesting as theirs.(Background fades around BASTIAN)The Bensons Car:BASTIAN is in the backseat looking out the window still bored. MRS. BENSON notices his behavior. (Continue)Continue:MRS. BENSON:Bastian is something wrong?BASTIAN:(Bored)Nothing.MR. BENSON:Bastian these family trips are to spend time together. Besides we need some time to unplug.Scene shifts a bit to TRISTAN playing on a Nintendo 3DS when MR. BENSON mentions “unplug” then back. BASTIAN looks over the horizon as the Bensons Car drove on the highway still looking bored. His 11-year-old sister BETH notices it and wants to get BASTIAN in a happier mood. MR. BENSON and MRS. BENSON look at each other knowing what was wrong.BETH:Do you want to play I Spy?BASTIAN: (Bored)Sure.(Scene 4) Linda is captured.Linda’s Room in the Castle of Oral:LINDA lays on her bed as the sunset worried about her father. They haven’t seen each other since this morning. LINDA touches the Key of Oral remembering that her father had told her to keep it safe when she was young.MYSTERIOUS VOICE:Linda.LINDA stood up on her bed and look around noticing a figure in a dark cloak with yellow eyes standing in the fireplace. LINDA started becoming afraid knowing it was a Rakuta. The scene starts growing darker.(Continue)Continue:RAKUTA:(Raising its hand)Follow me. RAKUTA opens the backwall of the fireplace revealing a secret passage as LINDA got off her bed, but not of her own free will. LINDA open her mouth to call for help but RAKUTA motion her to be silent and her mouth closed. LINDA realize she was under its spell as they walk through the entrance to the passageway. The wall close behind them.Secret Passageway inside the Castle of Oral:LINDA followed RAKUTA in a dark hallway. Only the light from the Key of Oral make things visible. They climb up a spiral staircase.The scene fades to the top of the spiral staircase.RAKUTA opens the door and motion her inside. Still strip of her free will LINDA went inside.Hidden Room inside the Castle of Oral:LINDA walk inside where three heads of the Rakuta were waiting for her. RAKUTA EMPEROR, ZURDER, and ELIWIN were standing in front of her. RAKUTA EMPEROR smiles as she entered.RAKUTA EMPEROR:Greetings Princess Linda of Oral, I’ve been expecting you.(Facing ELIWIN)Eliwin take the Key of Oral from her and bring it to me.ELIWIN:(Bowing to RAKUTA EMPEROR)As you command my master.ELIWIN walks towards LINDA who struggles to regain control of her body but fails. The Key of Oral glows as ELIWIN grabs it. (Continue)Continue:ELIWIN:(Screaming in pain)Ah!ELIWIN quickly let’s go of the Key of Oral and steps back.ELIWIN:(Looking at her hand)Drat! It can’t be taken by force!ELIWIN shows her burnt hand to RAKUTA EMPEROR and ZURDER.RAKUTA EMPEROR:Then we’ll just have to find another way.RAKUTA EMPEROR waves his hand to LINDA. LINDA faints to the ground. The scene grows zooms in on her as the Key of Oral glows around her neck.Campsite:BASTIAN, TRISTAN, BETH, MR. BENSON, and MRS. BENSON were setting up tents at the campsite.VOICE:Bastian.BASTIAN looks at his siblings and parents noticing none of them were looking at him. BASTIAN becomes suspicious and looks around unaware that he was the only one who heard the voice.MR. BENSON:Hey Bastian!BASTIAN looks in MR. BENSON’s direction.MR. BENSON: (Walking towards BASTIAN)Do you need some help with that?BASTIAN nodded his head in agreement and look back wondering where the voice came from.(Scene 5) Escaping the RakutaPrison Cell on the Rakuta Spaceship:LINDA wakes up and looks around unaware she’s on a spaceship. The prison cell appears to have no way out. LINDA curls up against the wall feeling helpless until the Key of Oral glows and levitate in midair. LINDA looks at it in confusion and notices it was pointing at the wall in front of her. LINDA steps up and walk towards it.LINDA stops a few feet away from it and a burst of light shoots out of the Key of Oral opening it. LINDA looks around and realize there are no guards then looks down at the Key of the Oral. The Key of Oral was pointing right. After checking to make sure no one was around LINDA runs towards the direction.Throne Room on the Rakuta Spaceship:RAKUTA EMPEROR sits on his throne looking at the planet Oral. ZURDER enters the Throne Room and kneels before the throne.ZURDER:You summoned me master?RAKUTA EMPEROR:(Turning his throne around to face ZURDER)Yes, bring the princess to me.ZURDER:As you command my master.ZURDER stand up and exits the Throne Room as RAKUTA EMPEROR turns his chair towards the planet Oral. The scene zooms in on his face as he gives an evil smile.Corridor on the Rakuta Spaceship:LINDA runs through the hallway following the Key of Oral’s directions until she hears footsteps approaching. LINDA quickly hid close to the wall as ZURDER walks into the corridor and past her. LINDA looks at his direction and breathes a sigh of relief then continues down the hall.Prison Block on the Rakuta Spaceship:ZURDER walks towards the cell and discovers the door is open. ZURDER stops in place.(Continue)Continue:ZURDER:Oh no.ZURDER runs towards the cell and looks inside. The cell is empty.ZURDER:(Looking around squealing)No, no, no. The master isn’t going to like this.ELIWIN:(Voice)Like what?ZURDER looks behind him noticing ELIWIN.Escape Pod Area on the Rakuta Spaceship:LINDA enters the room as the alarm went off. The Key of Oral points to an empty escape pod. LINDA walks towards it and presses a button on the control panel opening it.RAKUTA 1:(Voice)Over there!LINDA turn her head to notice a squad of Rakuta entering the room.RAKUTA 2:It’s her, set for stun!LINDA runs inside and presses a button next to the door closing it. RAKUTA 1 fires but hits the door instead.Escape Pod:LINDA looks at the cockpit window and walks towards the pilot’s seat. She sat down gazing at the stars. LINDA looks down at the controls and press a few buttons then the Escape Pod jolted a bit.(Continue)Continue:Command Bridge on Rakuta Spaceship:ELIWIN looks at the window as the Escape Pod carrying LINDA was launched. ELIWIN turns towards RAKUTA.ELIWIN:She took an escape pod!Escape Pod:LINDA clutch her seat as the Escape Pod flew into space. The Escape Pod turn a bit to face the Rakuta Spaceship. LINDA notices fighters coming out of it and quickly press some more PUTER:Destination Earth.LINDA:(Confused)Earth?The Escape Pod immediate jump into space pass the Rakuta Spaceship.(Scene 6) Linda and Bastian meet.Campsite:MR. BENSON, MRS. BENSON, TRISTAN, and BETH were roasting marshmallows at the campfire. MRS. BENSON looks around and realizes BASTIAN wasn’t with them.MRS. BENSON:Where’s Bastian?The Woods:BASTIAN walks through the woods kicking some dirt.BASTIAN:Everything is boring.(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN (Continue): (Looks up)I wish there was something to make it special like…BASTIAN became quiet as he notices a shooting star in the sky heading straight towards him.BASTIAN:Cool a shooting star!(Eyes widen)No that’s a meteor heading straight for me!BASTIAN runs from it screaming as the meteor heads straight for him. BASTIAN ducks onto the ground as it zooms past him crashing a couple feet ahead of him. BASTIAN looks up.BASTIAN:Huh.BASTIAN gets up and walks towards the meteor noticing it’s an escape pod.BASTIAN:Whoa an escape pod.The doors open and smoke pour out as LINDA climbs out.BASTIAN:(Screaming as he falls on his back and crawls back)Ah, alien!LINDA looks up noticing BASTIAN.LINDA:Oh hello.BASTIAN:Wait you’re human.LINDA:(Brushing the dirt off her dress)Yes, I’m…wait human?(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN:Yeah you know like man, woman, boy, girl.LINDA:(Offering her hand)Oh right, where am I?BASTIAN:(Looking at it then at LINDA)Uh, California on planet Earth.BASTIAN takes LINDA’s hand as she helps him to his feet. The Key of Oral glows pointing at BASTIAN however neither of them notices.LINDA:How far is it from Oral?BASTIAN:Oral, wait why is you necklace glowing?LINDA looks down and notices the Key of Oral is pointing to BASTIAN.LINDA:Who are you?BASTIAN:Bastian Benson.LINDA:(Curtsy)Well Bastian Benson, I am Princess Linda of Oral.BASTIAN:Yeah, I can see that. So, you’re a princess from another planet…I mean world.LINDA:Yes, and I like to get back. Also, I already know what a planet is.(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN:(Looking at the escape pod)Okay, well looks like your pod can fly so you’re going to be here for a while.LINDA:(Looking up at the sky)We better head where there’s light, they usually come in the dark.BASTIAN:Oh yeah, well campsite is that way…yeah it is…follow me.BASTIAN and LINDA walk away from the pod.BASTIAN:By the way, whose they?(Scene 7) The RakutaCommand Bridge on the Rakuta Spaceship:ELIWIN and ZURDER look at a computer screen as RAKUTA EMPEROR walk in.RAKUTA EMPEROR:Where is she?ELIWIN:The pod landed on the planet Earth.ZURDER:(Chuckling)The world where the humans doesn’t even have the slightest idea of how to fight us. Completely helpless during an invasion.RAKUTA EMPEROR:Set a course for Earth and send the scouts. I want her back alive.The Woods:BASTIAN and LINDA walk through the woods.(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN:So, you don’t know how to get back?LINDA:No.BASTIAN:And these Rakuta only show up at night?LINDA:Yes.BASTIAN:Well I guess that means their leader is the bad guy super villain.LINDA looks around trying to find the campsite.LINDA:Where did you say your campsite was again?BASTIAN:It’s right…BASTIAN looks around noticing they’re lost.BASTIAN:(Nervous)Okay don’t panic but I think we’re lost.LINDA brushes back her blonde hair and look around.LINDA:Well I guess we’re going to have to find somewhere to sleep for the night (notices a path) Wait what’s that?BASTIAN looks at the path and smiles.BASTIAN:A path, I bet it leads right back to the campsite.(Continue)Continue:As soon as BASTIAN and LINDA steps onto the path the wind blew against them. BASTIAN feels a chill in the air.LINDA:They’re close.BASTIAN looks around and notice the Key of Oral. Maybe they can fight their way out of it.BASTIAN:Does your necklace have powers?LINDA:Yes, but only grants it when needed.BASTIAN:(Muttering)So much for that idea.BASTIAN looks around and notices a log right next to the path that’s big enough for them to hide in.BASTIAN:Ever seen Lord of the Rings?LINDA:Who’s the Lord of the Rings?BASTIAN grabs LINDA’s wrist and runs towards the log. BASTIAN ushers LINDA inside and looks around. LINDA crawls inside first and BASTIAN soon follows. RAKUTA walks on the path looking around as they remain silent. RAKUTA knew the Key of Oral was close, but where is it? BASTIAN peeks through a hole as RAKUTA walks towards the log. BASTIAN closed his eyes waiting for what will happen next. RAKUTA picks up the log and throws it away unaware its prey was inside it.BASTIAN and LINDA bump around as the log rolled across the woods until it reaches the middle of a road. LINDA crawls out and notice an RV heading towards them. LINDA screams as the RV stops. BASTIAN pokes his head out and notice the RV.BASTIAN:Whoa that was close.(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN crawls out of the log as the RV’s driver MAX walk out of the RV.MAX:What are you kids doing?MAX notices LINDA. BASTIAN knows he must make something up fast.BASTIAN:We got lost trick or treating.MAX:Halloween isn’t in four months. Who are you?LINDA:Princess Linda of Oral.BASTIAN:(Whispering)Linda, seriously.LINDA:(Whispering)He asked.BASTIAN puts his hand over his face and shook his head. MAX took a deep breath after BASTIAN confirmed his suspicions.MAX:Alright both of you in the RV and you’re going to need a change of clothes your highness. People don’t go around wearing that these days.LINDA walk into the RV as BASTIAN raised his head.BASTIAN:Excuse me, who are you?MAX:(Putting his hand on BASTIAN’s shoulder)My friends call me Max and I’m a retired government agent.(Scene 8) A New FriendMax’s RV:MAX drove as LINDA told him the hold story. BASTIAN on the other hand was looking outside one of the windows.MAX:Some story you got there.LINDA:Can you help me get to Oral?MAX:I can’t.LINDA:(Shocked)Why?MAX:Because I haven’t heard of the place…(Glancing at BASTIAN through the rearview mirror)…and I’m pretty sure Bastian hasn’t heard of it either.BASTIAN:Nope.MAX:Anyway, you need to lay low until we do find out where it is. Don’t want those Rakuta on your tail again, right?LINDA stood up unaware that the Key of Oral was glowing.LINDA:But I don’t have clothes similar yours and Bastian’s family is probably worried about him right now…oh.BASTIAN turns to LINDA as light envelope around her body. LINDA’s clothes change to a white long sleeve shirt and pants.(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN:Neat.The Woods:RAKUTA continues to search for LINDA. RAKUTA suddenly notices a light in the distance and duck as MR. BENSON and TRISTAN walks past it holding flashlights.MR. BENSON:Bastian!RAKUTA smiles and quietly scurried off. TRISTAN hears a rattle and turns around only to find a bush.MR. BENSON:Something wrong Tristan.TRISTAN:Thought I heard something, probably just a squirrel.MR. BENSON and TRISTON walks off.Max’s RV:BASTIAN walks towards LINDA who is looking at a book from the shelf.BASTIAN:Max says we’ll be there in a few minutes.LINDA:And I just discovered who the Lord of the Rings is.LINDA shows the books cover titled “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” as BASTIAN looks at it.LINDA:You base your plan to hide from a book?(Continue)Continue:BASTIAN:(Taking the book and skimming through the pages)There’s a book, cool. Where are all the pictures?LINDA:You never read it?BASTIAN:(Closing the book)I first saw it in the animated movie.(Scene 9) The TrapThe Campsite:Max’s RV pulled up as MR. BENSON, MRS. BENSON, TRISTAN, and BETH look at it. MAX and BASTIAN walk out.MAX:Your son was lost in the woods.MRS. BENSON walks next to BASTIAN.MRS. BENSON:Where very sorry…(Looking at BASTIAN)…it won’t happen again.BETH notices something in the bushes.BETH:What was that?Everyone turns to her.MAX:(Serious)Where?(Continue)Continue:BETH:In the bushes over there.MAX motions everyone to be quiet and puts a hand on his gun. MAX slowly walks towards the bushes alert but calm. Suddenly RAKUTA 1 tackles MAX to the ground as LINDA walks out.LINDA:Max!BASTIAN hid behind a tent as RAKUTA 2, 3, 4, and 5 came out from the bushes. Each of them grabs TRISTAN, BETH, MR. BENSON, and MRS. BENSON. BASTIAN peek out from his hiding place as they surround LINDA. ZURDER walks out into the open clapping his hands.ZURDER:Good job boys and hello again. Did you really think we would give up that easy?LINDA looks around noticing none of the RAKUTAs have BASTIAN. ZURDER stands in front of her.ZURDER:Concern about your friends’ safety? How about you come with us and we’ll let them go, deal?BASTIAN:Linda don’t do it!ZURDER draws a gun and fires at BASTIAN’s direction. BASTIAN heads to the other side of the tent dodging the blast.ZURDER:(Unaware he missed)Silly boy thinking he’s a match for someone more powerful than him. So what will it be?LINDA touch the Key of Oral. She can’t let the RAKUTA have it and she can’t let innocent people get hurt. But what if they have just her? LINDA took a deep breath having a idea.LINDA:Let them go first and I’ll come peacefully.ZURDER:Very well.(Continue)Continue:ZURDER signal the RAKUTA to release the prisoners. One by one the RAKUTA threw them to the ground. ZURDER walks towards MAX. LINDA saw her chance and untie the Key of Oral from around her neck and silently drop it to the ground. LINDA look back up just in time to see ZURDER kick MAX’s head.ZURDER:Just to make sure he doesn’t get any bright ideas.ZURDER grabs LINDA’s arm and they walk away with the RAKUTA following. BASTIAN walk out behind the tent. MR. BENSON and MRS. BENSON rush towards MAX to see if he’s alright.MR. BENSON:He’s alright but unconscious.BASTIAN notices the Key of Oral on the ground and pick it up. BASTIAN stares at it.(Scene 10) Bastian and the Key of OralCampsite:BASTIAN and MR. BENSON were sitting on a log. BASTIAN hid the Key of Oral in his hands so no one would notice it.BASTIAN:I should have done something, but I couldn’t.MR. BENSON put his hand on BASTIAN’s shoulder.MR. BENSON:Bastian there are times when we can do something and when we can’t, Linda didn’t want anyone to get hurt. But that’s not the point, just because you can do something about it doesn’t mean you should.BASTIAN: So, it’s okay to ignore things and pretend they never happen.MR. BENSON:No, you don’t ignore them, but what really matters is what you decide to do during that time.(Continue)Continue:MR. BENSON stood up and walk into the RV. TRISTAN and BETH sat next to BASTIAN. BASTIAN thought about what MR. BENSON said and look up to the sky. There was no sign of any spaceship taking off, then it hit him. They haven’t left yet which means there’s still time to stop them.BASTIAN:I going to get her back.BETH:Hold on Bastian, you saw what those things are capable of.TRISTAN:Not to mention we don’t know where they went.BASTIAN look at the Key of Oral and notice it was glowing. BASTIAN stood up and walk a few feet away.VOICE:By the power of Oral…BASTIAN:By the power of Oral, I am the hero.BASTIAN was soon covered in light as TRISTAN and BETH shielded their eyes. They look back as the light died to down. BASTIAN was adult size wearing white, blue, and green armor with a helmet. BASTIAN turn around and notice they were shocked but remains unaware of what happened to him.BASTIAN:What are you two looking at me like that?TRISTAN and BETH:Bastian?BASTIAN:Yes…hey wait a minute.(Pointing at them)Why are you two smaller?(Continue)Continue:BETH:You should look at yourself.BASTIAN:Why would you say that, hold on, where’s the?BASTIAN look at his hands then notices what happened to him.BASTIAN:Whoa, I’m a superhero.
