PROJECT: HUMAN BODY SYSTEMS FLIP BOOK

PURPOSE: To organize student knowledge of the systems which make up the human body.

MATERIALS: 1 sheet construction or colored paper, 3 sheets white paper, colored pencils/markers

DIRECTIONS:

1. Using the colored sheet of paper measure 1/3 of the paper

2. Fold the top of the sheet down on the 1/3 mark and crease the paper.

3. Using three white sheets, layer the 3 sheets each below the first line. Fold the top of the sheet down and crease the paper. ( See Ms. Porter’s example)

4. Staple the sheets at the top with two staples evenly spaced.

5. On the top of the colored sheet, write “Human Body Systems.”

6. List the body systems of your choice at the bottom tab of the remaining sheets.

7. On each page, include the following information for each system:

• The name of the organ system.

• What’s the organ system made of? Name at least three major organs or structures for six systems of the human body.

• Explain the function of the system and each of the organs.

• A diagram or picture which labels and shows the location of the organs of the system.
