Dear Gerald C. Condon, Jr. and Members of the UW Madison Alumni Club of Brown County:

Repeatedly, Jaclyn Wegener has been asked to swear the truth, the whole, truth, and nothing but the truth as a witness in the Mock Trial program at Bay Port High School. It is my absolute pleasure to write about the truth behind this phenomenal young lady. From day one of coaching Jaclyn in Mock Trial, it was easy to see why she stands out among her peers in her intelligence, leadership, and motivation.

Like any great student, Jaclyn implemented the mindset that schoolwork always comes first; therefore, she has excelled in academic excellence during her years at Bay Port High School. Jaclyn has achieved many notable successes including: an ACT score of 30, a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.813/4.0, and a class rank of 37/438. Additionally, she challenged herself with seven Advanced Placement courses. She clearly pushes herself and has proven a record that will ensure a successful college career.

Beyond the classroom, Jaclyn has demonstrated leadership in numerous clubs and organizations including participating in the Youth Service League, tutoring and mentoring underclassmen, and serving as a member of Student Council. My personal experience working with Jaclyn has been through the Mock Trial organization, sponsored by the State Bar of Wisconsin. While our team does not have officer positions, I consider Jaclyn to be a captain/leader for the witnesses. Jaclyn took her own time to work with beginner members of the team; she encouraged and inspired confidence in them. That is just the kind of person she is, naturally filling roles of leadership even in more informal settings.

Whatever Jaclyn aims for, she succeeds. She has a combination of talent and altruism, joined with an incredible motivation to succeed in life. In addition to all her aforementioned achievements, Jaclyn has already begun her aspirations to be a future business woman. Namely, Jaclyn has committed to a part time job in a local business as well as pursuing extra coursework in business studies. Clearly, Jaclyn has set high expectations for herself and is motivated to achieve greatness in the business program at University of Wisconsin- Madison.

It would be my pleasure to discuss further the truth behind Jaclyn Wegener’s character and academic/extra curricular achievements. I grant her my highest recommendation.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Elizabeth Fowler
