Unit 3 - Study Guide

Related Issue #3 – To what extent does globalization contribute to sustainable

prosperity for all people?

What follows is a breakdown of all the major terms and concepts covered in Chapters 9 – 12 of Exploring Globalization .

To get the most benefit from this study guide, you need to consider each item carefully. I recommend that you get blank paper or index cards and write one or two sentences to explain each term / concept WITHOUT USING YOUR TEXTBOOK! If you can do that, you know your stuff. If you can’t explain in detail some of the items, then you know what you need to study.

Once you have studied the material you were unsure of, then repeat the process of getting out some paper and writing out explanations for each and every term / concept.

Another good way to study is to get a parent / sibling/ friend to randomly pick out concepts / terms and have you explain them.

➢ Part 1 includes all the terms / concepts you should know.

➢ Part 2 consists of relevant people and events.

➢ Part 3 is a section for you to write down questions that may arise

while studying.
