Joharilee TroncosoProfessor FraadEnglish1101 LC33December,12,2019 Is It Realistic For People To Live In Another Planet Author Joharilee Troncoso In these past few years scientists have had thoughts about moving humans to other planets. NASA has made projects to move humans to mars one of NASA flights to mars left on March, 14, 2016 at around 1:31 pm PST from Kazakhstan. Many flights that have been taking off didn't have any human passengers in it the spacecraft did not have any humans inside. They did this to see if the spacecraft would have made it safe to the red planet. Many science experiments has been made such as sending rovers into mars and checking out how the planet looked like and if it was safe this happened in 2018.There has been a search made called the Martian life there mission is to move humans to mars in a few years. They have analyzed mars and think mars could be a capable planet for humans to live in. Mars has a very big part of chemical building blocks, liquid water on its surface and an energy source that comes from volcanic activity which powers the chemical reactions and which could make it possible for humans to live on mars. The only problem is there will not be any type of oxygen which can cause humans to die instantly. Water is another resource us humans need. Water could be found as ice on other planets, the moon has water but in ice which will have to be melted to make water.Dr Philip Metzger, from the University of Central Florida states,“It exists as ice in the Moon's dark polar craters, it is stored in the clay minerals in many asteroids, and it is found in a variety of forms on Mars.” On Mars there are many things in which water could be extracted. Homes will have to built from basic structures and could be made out of martian regolith, which can be used to create bricks. Homes on another planet would need added protection against harmful things living in these planets or from its radiation. Many people have asked and wondered if there are any other planets that could be similar to mars but reality is Earth is one special planet, it has liquid water, plate tectonics, gets energy for the sun rays, and an atmosphere that shelters it from the worst of the sun's rays .All these features only come with the planets earth many scientists believe that us humans make up earth and that's why we humans belong on earth. A danger that can cause humans to not live there could be the temperature. On average Mars temperature could be about minus 80 degrees Fahrenheit . In winter, near the poles temperatures can get down to minus 195 degrees Fahrenheit. This could be to hot for humans to deal with during the summer. It could cause health problems and many other difficulties for humans. Mars has less mass than Earth, the gravity on Mars is less than the gravity on Earth. The gravity on Mars is only about 38% of the surface gravity on Earth, so our body weight will be lesser on mars. For food there are farming techniques but it will be hard just not impossible. Experiments have been made on Earth using similar soils such as - martian soil, to be able to farm on planets such as Mars and the moon. Many people across the world have have been able to grow tomatoes. It is thought that the martian would be warm enough for greenhouses to grow plants.Power might be a difficult thing to be able to find, Paul van Susante a senior lecturer in engineering at Michigan Tech University states, “I am not sure what power sources we could scale up easily on Mars without bringing nuclear power from Earth,” he says. “Small scale power is one thing, but on a larger scale local power generation may be needed in the form of solar farms.” This demonstrates on how it will be hard. They will conduct some experiments which will be first made on Mars.If global warming gets out of hand, humans will have to start consider into moving to another planet which could have all the resources needed available there. If global warming happens all humans will die. The only way to guarantee that the humans species continue is to move most of the humans to others plants and start making their villages and cities. But all humans would need the Earth's resources to survive, which ever planet humans end up living they will need to find or make these resources. The best idea for global warming will be to recolonize on another planet and we will have to end up finding our making our own resources. In conclusion if things start to go bad in planet earth people have other options to think of without a problem. Many people can have a new life in a new planet because the lack of resources and other things that people need to survive. There is a high possibility that another planet may have these things without there being a global warming or anything else because there are things in life that can allow people to live a new and improved life. Many believe that with a new community and society, things will change in life and to have an opportunity to start this new chapter in a new planet can be a very big option for many people. Moving to a new planet will be a better situation for a lot of the humans because they wouldn’t have to deal with global warming, climate change and other disasters for a long period of time. ................
