TIPS FOR CLEANING ROUTINE

O Wipe down the refrigerator shelves before going grocery shopping. This keeps your refrigerator clean most of the time and makes it less of a hassle when you have to clean it.

O Run your kitchen sink tap water on hot before you run the dishwasher to warm up the water and make your dishwasher start with hot water.

O Keep a small baking pan for uncooked meats in the refrigerator to keep your refrigerator shelf clean.

O If you have little ones that love bath time and are old enough to play independently while you are in the bathroom with them, CLEAN

IT with Clean Mama products, of course!

O Stop using a top sheet. This simplifies bed making when paired with a duvet and launder-able duvet cover.

O Keep your daily used cooking supplies on a cutting board by your stove for easy access and less clean up.

O Put daily items like dish soap, hand soap, counter spray, toiletries, etc. on a dish or tray. This makes cleaning the counter easier and helps to contain those supplies.

O Start in the worst area first and keep going with that momentum. This is why I clean bathrooms on Mondays. If this mindset doesn't work for you, start with something easy first!

O Choose cleaning supplies that you enjoy using. Color coordinate or just choose supplies you like the look of ? I find that having cute supplies make cleaning more fun!

O Don't put it off ? get it over with and get on with your day.

O Listen to a podcast, audiobook, or your favorite music ? think of it as an escape.

O Call someone and chat while you're cleaning. Chances are you'll enjoy the conversation more than you realize that you're cleaning.

O Make it a game ? set a timer and race yourself.

O Invite someone over ? you will probably get more done in a shorter period of time.

O Reward yourself with something that motivates you when you accomplish your goal.

TIPS FOR MORNING ROUTINE

O Start the evening before. The key to success in the morning is setting yourself up for success the evening before. I recommend a clean kitchen at night as one of the things that makes getting up earlier a little easier. Why? You won't have to wake up to a mess from the day before ? you've already reset your kitchen. This is a huge component in keeping up with this habit because you aren't waking up to work ? who wants to do that? You're waking up to do something that will make your day run more smoothly.

O Turn off the screens. Turning off phones and computers and televisions a little earlier is the best way to get yourself ready for bed. Stop sleeping with your phone ? the emfs (electro and magnetic fields) mess with your natural body rhythms. We keep our phones and devices downstairs in a charging station. I find that putting them away early in the evening (optimally/in a perfect world, before dinner and away for the night) is really helpful. Get a cute, old-fashioned alarm clock and use that instead of your phone.

O Go to bed when you're tired. Stop fighting through the tiredness and just go to bed. If you are used to staying up late, try going to bed earlier and see how you feel. See if

it makes a difference in your day. Everyone needs to sleep but everyone's perfect amount of sleep is different. Make your goal 6-8 hours and experiment to find what amount makes you feel most rested and alert during the day.

O Get your morning drink going. Coffee, lemon water, a smoothie, tea ? whatever you drink first thing in the morning, get that going.
