**The above syllabus is subject to change in order to accommodate classes that need additional time on a unit or less time on a unit. Classes will be notified when changes are made in the syllabus.**

Raider Retakes:

Students may ask and work for a limited amount of second chances to demonstrate mastery of the standards on summative assessments. Prior to a retake, the student will complete one of the following: correct missed/incomplete problems, practice problems, or other work assigned at teacher’s discretion. Retakes will be scheduled by the teacher and will take place during NBI or in class. Students have 5 school days to ask for and complete a retake.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT PLAN

Student success is directly related to appropriate behavior, and high behavior expectations are required by all teachers. Daily teacher corrective strategies include redirection, verbal warning, proximity, name on board, seat change, etc. Parent contact is important in order for the teacher and parent to collaborate on solutions for their student’s success. The EPMS behavior management plan consists of four steps:

• Step 1 deals with the student’s first infraction after several teacher warnings. Consequences can be time out, silent lunch or in-class isolation.

• A second infraction will place a student on step 2 with the possible consequences of time out, student conference (teacher or team), team isolation or detention.

• The third infraction step consequences can be time out and/or parent conference, team isolation, detention, or counselor referral.

• The fourth infraction step will result in an office referral to the appropriate administrator.
