Overview:????Students have the option of doing either yoga or a combination of a GoNoodle dance and an exercise workout. ?Students also have a third option of playing Name Fitness. Students will recognize that when you exercise at a moderate or high intensity, your heart beats faster and you breathe faster.? Students can choose to focus on flexibility and balance by doing yoga or focus on muscular strength and endurance by doing the workouts and/or exercises. If students are interested, they can do all the activities.Estimated Time:?Approximately?20-25?minutes?Explanation:???Enjoy a fun exercise with a parent, sibling, or guardian. Identify which activities you enjoyed the most and which one was more of challenge.? Several students tried Yoga at Family Fitness Night and most students have also tried Yoga in PE class. IN "The Force Awakens" Yoga, students will listen to the Star Wars story while they workout. The workout will focus on strength and stretching exercises.?The Kids Workout and Name Fitness focus more on strength training exercises and will work various muscles in the body. Students have tried many of these exercises in PE class throughout the year. The Kids Workout and Name Fitness should elevate heart rate and breathing.?Three quick things to know:?Choose one of the three activity options below or feel free to do them all if you would like. ?The activity log is optional. If you choose to participate, fill out the activity log after each workout.Yoga can help improve strength, flexibility, balance and coordination, as well as focus and concentration. ?Different exercises work different parts of the body. Try to feel which muscles are working when you do each exercise. ?Tasks:?Select one of the following options and complete.
