Emergency Contacts

190502540Inclement Weather Policy – 2019/2020In the event of extreme adverse weather conditions, SnR Pet Care will make all reasonable attempts to reach and care for your pet (s). We will leave extra food and water out when we do reach your pet in case we are not able to make it for the next scheduled visit. Extreme adverse weather conditions are those conditions making it dangerous or impossible for us to leave our homes or travel on the roads to your location – refer to the 2’ of snow we received in Februray 2019!It is very important that we have accurate, up-to-date emergency contact information for you. Your emergency contact *must* have a key or access to your house, and *must* be available when youare out of town. If we have you on the calendar for winter care, please take a minute and send us your emergency contact information. Please be aware that due to road conditions we may be later in reaching your pets than requested. We may have to adjust your am/pm visits to one a day in order to service all the pets. We will make every effort possible to reach your pet(s), and we will notify you if we are unable to reach your pet(s) for the scheduled visit. Emergency ContactsThis is our priority for visiting during extreme weather conditions:Animals on time-sensitive medication (insulin, thyroid, etc.)Dogs who don’t have potty access;Cats & dogs who have potty access;(they have potty access!)Farm or grazing animals, who have access to potty, food & water. If we are unable to reach your animals at the schedule time(s), we will attempt to contact you to let you know, and then contact your emergency contact person. Your emergency contact should have a key to your home! We strongly urge you to designate someone who is in walking distance to your home or has a vehicle capable of traveling during extreme weather conditions and has a key or code access to your residence and is available the time you are away. Now would be a great time to set this up! If your emergency contact is not able to reach your pets, we will keep trying until we are successful. Please note we have instituted inclement weather plans which involve pet sitters teaming up in 4-wheel drive or snow chained vehicles; however, there could be circumstances beyond our control where we are simply not able to leave our residences – downed power lines, closed roads, heavy snow or ice storms or severe winds. This is of extra concern if you live on a hill or we have to access a hill to reach you. We are willing to hike in, if possible, to reach your pet(s).We will, of course, be responsible for cleaning up any messes due to late arrival, and will leave extra food, water and/or litter boxes/ pee pads in case we are delayed the next scheduled visit. Please rest assured that your pet’s welfare is very important to us. We have plans in place to allow us to get to all of our charges during inclement weather excluding extreme circumstances which are beyond our control. We are setting up these plans and contacting you regarding them so we can be proactive and prepared before winter arrives!Thank you so much. We appreciate the trust you place in us to care for your beloved furkids!Sandy LassmanSnR Pet Care206.734.9795 ................
