Pre-Calculus

Class Rules:

- No food or drinks are allowed in the classroom. This is a school policy.

- No electronic devices are allowed according to school policy. This includes cell phones, IPODs, digital cameras, IPADS, etc. If seen, these items will be taken up and turned in to the main office. Your parent will have to retrieve the item.

- Come to class PREPARED. Bring all required materials to class EVERYDAY.

- Do your own work. Cheaters and accomplices will receive zeroes AND a referral to their AP.

- Treat others in the manner you wish to be treated.

Required Supplies:

|PENCILS! COLORED PENS (any colors) or map pencils. |GRAPHING CALCULATOR (recommend TI 84) |

|Composition Notebook & Notebook to organized handouts and homework |Graph paper |

|1 box Kleenex or 1 package AAA batteries |1 ream of copy paper |

Grading Policy:

- 10% Assignments

Work that is turned in with ANSWERS ONLY will NOT be accepted.

- 20% Quizzes

You will take announced as well as pop quizzes.

- 70% Tests

The LAST test of the six weeks is a cumulative six weeks test. Your lowest test will be dropped. There is an optional review worksheet for the six weeks test. It is YOUR responsibility to correct your tests and to seek tutoring for the material you did not understand. The six weeks tests will prepare you well for what to expect on the final.

Missed Work (due to absence):

Students are responsible for getting the work they missed due to an absence. Students will have 3 calendar school days to make-up the missed work from a one-day absence. Missed tests must be made up within THREE calendar school days of the absence. For extended periods of excused absence, special arrangements can be made immediately upon returning to school. The grade made on the NEXT test will replace the grades of any quizzes missed due to an EXCUSED absence.

- Students may refer to the webpage for the work that they have missed, including note outlines.

- ABSENCE ON THE DAY OF AN IN-CLASS REVIEW FOR A TEST DOES NOT EXCUSE THE STUDENT FROM THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR TAKING THE TEST IMMEDIATELY UPON HIS OR HER RETURN.

Late Work:

Late work will receive a maximum grade of 50 for up to three days late. LATE HOMEWORK IS NOT ACCEPTED AFTER THREE CALENDAR SCHOOL DAYS… NO EXCEPTIONS.
