Community Action programs promote the birth of health babies, reduce the potential for child abuse and neglect, increase children's chances for success in school, and improve the quality and accessibility of child care. We also offer energy assistance and help to prevent homelessness. Provides rent assistance. Receives 300-400 requests each month but can only assist 30-40 families. They only assist a family once per year.

Rotating homeless shelter for approximately three families. They typically stay in a church for a period of a few weeks at a time. Family Bridge is part of the steering committee for Home Plate, a collaboration of several churches, youth service agencies, and community volunteers who provide a weekly dinner for youth ages 12-19 as well as recreational activities, showers and hygiene supplies, and information and resource referrals.

• Pay for dental clinic van which provides free dental care in the Pacific Northwest to low-income individuals with urgent needs - $600 per van visit

• REAL. LIFE. Exhibit tour guide - Help visitors understand the impact of poverty, conflict and disaster on people around the world by greeting and caring for guests in our REAL. LIFE. Exhibit. Hours: Flexible shifts, evening and weekend opportunities are available.

• General office - General office assistants provide clerical help such as filing, answering phones, copying, preparing information packets and compiling reports. Hours: 2-4 hours shifts on weekdays, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

• Distribution Center- People of varying ages and skill sets can help prepare medical supplies and equipment for shipment around the world. There are openings for supply sorting and packing, data entry and delivery drivers. **Age requirement to work in the Distribution Center is 16 years or older unless directly supervised by a parent or guardian.** Hours: 3-6 hour shifts on weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

• Group projects

Is your business planning a team-building day? Do you have a youth group who would like to make a difference in the world? Is your club looking for a way to reach out to those in need?
