Transcript for "Resume Tips for College Students from Employers"Colleen Dolnik: For myself, one thing I struggle with is., “what do you put on a résumé and what do you not?” So one thing I would say is I don’t think we need a play-by-play of everything that you’ve ever done, but more kind of what you’ve accomplished—talking points, so that when we interview you and we do talk to you, you can tell us more about everything that you’ve done and what you’ve accomplished. But keep it simple, keep it small, something that we can understand and immediately digest.Ray Robinson: So on a résumé, we would definitely want to understand if you’re going out there and participating in sports events and teams or if you’re in clubs and if you have leadership positions in those clubs, and how you’ve influenced those around you. We want to see when you’re very proud of results that you’ve been able to achieve—highlight those results on your résumé. And also let us understand how you are able to build relationships within your peer group and how you kind of deliver results from that.Melissa Randall: You look at [whether] they have any previous internship experience or any previous work experience? We also look for what their cumulative GPA is because we do have a minimum.Myles Cramer: You know, just make sure you put together a résumé that’s accurate, that really highlights your expertise, your background, your internships, and co-ops if you’ve had them. We want to see that you’ve been involved in clubs, and you’ve got initiative, and that you’re willing to work hard.Alison Eko: If they’ve been involved in any of those outside communities, it’s extremely helpful for them. It’s going to differentiate them from other résumés. And that’s also a driving factor for us.Matthew Kanenberg: One of the really key attributes that we’re looking for in people is for people to come and lead small groups and lead individuals across the corporation without any formal authority. So building and influencing teams and that sort of thing is really what we think is key to keeping us competitive and driving a competitive advantage for us. ................
