The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. Timing: Fully automatic Colorado system 5000 electronic timing equipment. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited. The use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Continuous warm-up/warm-down is available. The Meet Director and Referee reserve the right to alter the course.ADDITIONAL COVID19 FACILITY CONSIDERATIONS 1.Facility capacity will be limited to 500 swimmers and spectators per session.2.All Coaches, timers, and officials and spectators will be required to wear appropriate face coverings (i.e. face masks).3.All swimmers will be required to wear appropriate face coverings while not in the pool4.Access to bathrooms and changing facilities will be restricted to limited use. All swimmers are encouraged to arrive at the pool in their suits and to leave the pool in their suits.The meet will be run in accordance with current Alabama State Health Guidelines as listed here:8. Athletic facilities. Effective May 11, 2020, athletic facilities—such as fitness centers and commercial gyms, spas, and yoga, barre, and spin facilities—shall comply with the following rules: a. Social distancing. (i) Employees shall not knowingly allow patrons or guests to congregate within six feet of a person from another household. (ii) Employees shall not knowingly allow patrons or guests to participate in any of the athletic activities prohibited in paragraph 9—including sports that involve interaction with another person of closer than 6 feet and activities that require use of shared sporting apparatus and equipment. (iii) Employees must take reasonable steps to prevent people from congregating in lobby areas, break rooms, and other common areas. b. Limits on facility access. An athletic facility must limit facility occupancy to 50 percent of the normal occupancy load as determined by the fire marshal. Athletic facilities must also prohibit patrons and guests from accessing showers, hot tubs, steam rooms, lockers, saunas and other recreational water or spa facilities. Pools may be open subject to the social-distancing rules of this paragraph. c. Facial coverings. Each employee shall wear a mask or other facial covering that covers his or her nostrils and mouth at all times while in regular interaction with clients or guests. In addition to complying with the requirements of this paragraph, operators of athletic facilities are strongly encouraged to read and implement the Alabama Department of Public Health’s “Guidelines for Athletic Facilities,” available at and SAFETY: Current USA Swimming and Southeastern Swimming rules will govern the conduct of the meet unless otherwise noted herein. In the interest of safety and accident prevention, coaches and swimmers are asked to observe all posted pool rules and conduct themselves in a safe manner. Nobody will be allowed to climb on the diving boards for any reason. Any questions or concerns should be reported to the Meet Director through the office of the Clerk of Course which is located at deck level. The swimmer must wear only one swimsuit in one of two pieces, except as provided in 205.10.1. All swimsuits shall not extend above the navel nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulder, nor extend below the knee. NO TECHNICAL SUITS SHALL BE WORN BY ANY 12 and UNDER USA SWIMMING ATHLETE MEMBER IN COMPETITION AT ANY SANCTIONED, APPROVED, OR OBSERVED MEET. NOTE – 102.8ONLY MEET WORKERS, COACHES, OFFICIALS AND SWIMMERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK. Coaches MUST have current USA Swimming coach credentials to gain deck access. The Meet Referee and Meet Director reserves the right to ask for coach credentials (Use Deck Pass or Club Portal) and/or deny deck access if the coach does not comply or card is no longer current. The Crossplex facility has strict rules prohibiting swimming when thunderstorms and lightning are in the vicinity that will be followed at all times. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cellphone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.Drones are prohibited over venues any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present.In the interest of safety and accident prevention, coaches and swimmers are asked to observe all posted pool rules and facility rules referred to in this meet information and to conduct themselves in a safe and prudent manner. CTA and Wake Aquatics will not accept responsibility for anyone who climbs to an unsafe height for any reason. No one will be allowed to climb on the diving boards for any reason. Any questions or concerns should be reported to the Meet Director through the office of the Clerk of Course which is located at deck level.The Meet Director and Referee reserve the right to alter the course.ELIGIBILITY: All participants must be USA Swimming registered athletes in Region 3 of the Southeastern Swimming LSC. Entries will not be accepted without current registration numbers. A swimmer's age on the first day of the meet will determine his or her age for the entire meet. There will be no on-deck USA Registration available at this meet. SWIMMERS WITH DISABILITIES: Swimmers with disabilities are welcome and are encouraged to complete the Information Form for Disabled Swimmers and return it with the entries. It is the responsibility of the coaches or swimmers to contact the Meet Referee with specific request. WARM UP: Southeastern Swimming Meet Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect at this meet. Lanes will be assigned for each team dependent upon the number of swimmers for that team and at no time shall there more than four swimmers per lane. The Meet Director will post and announce the warm-up assignments prior to the start of the meet warm-up. Alternatively, warm-ups will be conducted as open warm-ups with dedicated pace and sprint lanes announced as the need occurs. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session unless their coach has submitted a Swimmer Assignment form prior to the meet. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water without the use of the backstroke ledge.When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.STARTING TIMES: (CST) Warm-up Competition Saturday AM: 7:00-7:30 & 7:30-8:00 AM 8:15 AM Saturday PM: 5 minutes after AM Session1 hr after warmups start Sunday AM: 7:007:30 & 7:30-8:00 AM 8:15 AM Sunday PM: 5 minutes after AM Session1 hr after warmups start ENTRIES: Swimmers may enter up to five (5) individual events per day, including time trials. Entry times should be in Short Course Yards (SCY). The required method of entry is e-mail. Teams must submit their entry in a zipped file via email. A printed (PDF) report including full name, USA number, event numbers, and entry times of all swimmers must be included with the entry. This report will serve as the official entry form. Individual entries and a signed release with fee summary must be mailed within 72 hours of the meet entry deadline. The host team reserves the right to adjust pool designations for age groups or genders, and combine age groups in order to run the meet more smoothly. EMAIL ENTRIES The following guidelines must be followed for email entries: Official entry forms and all entry fees and swimmer surcharges are due within 72 hours or receipt of entry. Email entries must be zipped so that it arrives to the entry chair intact. The club’s entire entry must be sent in one email. Please do not flood the entry chair with several emails which compose one single team entry. Hand entries will not be accepted. All teams are asked to completely fill out the enclosed Team Information Form, including the names and contact numbers for all registered officials affiliated with the team that are willing to serve as a meet official during the weekend. If these delivery methods are not available, the completed forms should be submitted by physical mail for prompt delivery. Late entries will be accepted for available lanes up until 30 minutes prior to the applicable session. No new heats will be formed. Coaches are asked to strictly adhere to these deadlines which are necessary in order for all pre-meet activities to be completed by volunteer workers in a timely and efficient manner. TIME TRIALS: Time Trials shall be held at the conclusion of any session, time permitting, at the coach’s request. Athletes may enter as many time trial events as desired as long as they do not exceed 5 events per day limit. Fees: $10.00 per individual event; $10.00 per relay. Sign-up deadlines will be announced during the meet. A swimmer may not exceed the USA swimming daily event limit of 5 individual events. MEET FORMAT: This is a timed finals meet. This meet will serve as the Southeastern Swimming Championship for 8 & Under swimmers. All events will be pre-seeded except the 500 Free, 1650 Free, 400 IM and all relays, which will be deck-seeded. Swimmers must sign-in with the Clerk of Course for all deck-seeded events. If a swimmer misses a deck seeded event, then they will not be able to swim their next event. Relay cards will be included in the coach’s packet for each team and must be filled out and returned to the Clerk of the Course no later than 30 minutes after that relay’s session begins. Sign-in deadlines for the 500 Free & 1650 Free are 30 minutes after the event’s session begins. The sign-in deadline for the 400 IM is 30 minutes prior to that event’s session. If the swimmer is not checked in with the Clerk of Course, the swimmer is legally scratched from the event. Only the swimmer or his/her coach may sign in for deck-seeded events. 11-12 Age Group Subject to participation levels and in order to maintain 50% capacity requirements it may be necessary to divide the 11-12 Age Group into morning and afternoon sessions by gender. If participation levels require such a split 11-12 events for girls will be held in the afternoon session and 11-12 events for boys will be held in the morning session.8 & Under Bullpen To better adhere to social distancing guidelines we have elected to not have a bullpen for 8&Under Events this year.SCORING: Individual events first through eighth places: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relay events first through eighth places: 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2. AWARDS: Awards will be provided by Southeastern Swimming. For 8 & Under Events: Large Medals will be given for 1st-3rd place for individual events and 1st for relays. Medals will be given for 4th-8th place for individual events and 2nd-4th for relays. “Best All Around” trophies will be awarded to top two scoring individuals for each age group for both girls and boys. Plaque will be awarded to age group team champions of each gender based on total individual points and the single highest-ranking relay. For 10&U, 11-12, 13-14, and Open Events: Medals will be given for 1st-3rd place for individual events Ribbons will be given for 4th-8th place for individual events and 1st-4th for relays. STARTS: At the Meet Referee’s discretion, fly over starts may be implemented in order to ensure each session is completed in a timely manner and to facilitate reasonable social distancing in the starting area.OFFICIALS’ CORNER: Visiting officials are welcome and encouraged to participate. The Meet Referee is asking all officials who are available to serve at this meet to notify him by email of their availability. All officials must wear current USA Swimming membership credentials while on deck and must present current Officials certification card to the Meet Referee at check-in. Please contact Heidi Duncan (cookieswithcurls2580@) with level of certification and sessions desired. Southeastern Swimming, Inc. Officials dress code is white polo shirt, khaki pants/shorts/skirt, and white shoes and is to be worn for all sessions. COACHES' CORNER: When picking up the team’s packet, coaches are asked to show valid credentials (deck pass or club portal printout). No Coach will be allowed on the pool deck without providing current USA Swimming credentials indicating full coaching privilege. Coaches are asked to ensure that the Clerk of the Course has a completed Team Information sheet with the lead deck coach’s cell phone number listed. A coaches' meeting will be held at 8:05 am on Saturday morning in the hospitality room. No swimmers will be allowed in the pool during this time. Competition will not start until after the conclusion of the coaches meeting. Coaches expecting to have swimmers participating in a session that the coach will not be attending are asked to complete a Swimmer Assignment form in advance of the session and send it to the Meet Referee and Meet Director by email. SPECTATORS’ CORNER: The natatorium has seating for 1,000 spectators. The CrossPlex does not allow personal chairs or outside food and beverages. As per the Alabama State Health Guidelines capacity will be limited to 500 combined swimmers and spectators.HEAT SHEETS: Will be available online at Wake Aquatics website. They will also be available electronically through Meet Mobile. There will not be printed heat sheets for sale during the meet. HOSPITALITY: There will be a hospitality area available for coaches, meet workers and officials only. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. In order to ensure sufficient quantities of hospitality items, teams are asked to submit their completed Team Information Form by the meet entry deadline with complete information regarding the number of coaches attending the meet. CONCESSIONS, ETC.: There will be a concessions stand operated by the CrossPlex on Saturday and Sunday.RECYCLING: Wake is supporting the SES recycling initiative (pilot program for USA Swimming) and we ask that you utilize recycling bins where available at the venue.
