Poetry and Visual Analysis Project

For this assignment you will need:

- Poetry Terms Handout

- Visual Terms Handout

- Google Classroom E-Mail

- Internet Access (if you can’t access this at home, arrange to use the library computers)

Instructions: You are responsible for creating a PowerPoint on your Google Classroom account according to instructions given in class. This can be done in partners (2 people) or individually. You will choose one of the poem/visual pairings to present to the class in a 3 minute oral presentation.

***DUE DATE: Nov. 20th, 2015***

(presentations to start on due date)

- Choose 2 of the 15 poems below to analyze

- Go the internet and search for 1 more poem (YOUR CHOICE!) that you will analyze as well. These ‘individual choice’ poems can be song lyrics if you like.

- Find 3 visuals that thematically link to EACH of the 3 poems you chose (one visual per poem)

- Follow the analysis instructions below for each of your poem/visual pairings
