Physical Development and Motor Skills (PDM)

Social and Emotional Development (SED)

The teacher will prepare the children for a fire drill by practicing with them in the classroom. We will go through the process of lining up and walking to the door.

The teacher will draw flames all over the sidewalk and encourage the children to use water bottles to put out the fire while wearing their firemen hats.

Approaches to Play and Learning (APL)

The children will create different community helpers using paper plates.

Communication, Language and Literacy Development (CLL)

The teacher will show pictures of community helpers and ask the children to identify them and how they help us. We will use puppets to sing the song "Good Morning To You."

Cognitive Development and General Knowledge: Math (MA), Social Studies (SS), Science (SC), Creative Dev.(CR), Cognitive Processes (CP)

The teacher will add different types of cooking utensils to play dough along with cookie sheets and encourage the children to make muffins and other bakery items.
