What is the investment strategy?

The Stable Value Investment Option owns one or more wrap contracts issued by high quality financial institutions. The fixed income portfolio underlying the contracts is generally invested in high quality securities such as U.S. Treasury and Agency securities, investment grade corporate bonds, and mortgage-backed and assetbacked securities.

Is this investment option appropriate for me?

Research studies suggest that a well diversified investment portfolio will experience lower volatility than a less diversified portfolio. This investment option may be appropriate for investors seeking more income than money market funds without the price fluctuation of stock or bond funds.

What are the risks?

The return from this fund is generated by a portfolio of bonds with one or more wrap contracts. The bond portfolio will generally be invested in high quality securities. The wrap contract(s) provide a book value accounting feature (principal plus accrued interest) to the bond portfolio that is expected to produce a relatively stable annual return with low volatility in participant account balances.
