SUFFOLK COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE RATED AMONG THE NATION'S FASTEST-GROWING TWO-YEAR SCHOOLS BY COMMUNITY COLLEGE WEEK

Selden, NY ? Suffolk County Community College, the largest community college in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, with campuses in Selden, Brentwood and Riverhead, was recently rated among the nation's fastest-growing two-year schools by Community College Week.

The College was ranked number 42 out of the nation's top 50 fastest growing community colleges with enrollments greater than 10,000 students. The rating was based on a review of the enrollment of more than 1,100 community colleges nationwide. The ranking was based on Suffolk's 8% increase in enrollment from the fall of 2009 to the fall of 2010. In the fall of 2010, the College reported an enrollment of 26,719 students.
