Section 1. Names

This section should include the etymological study of the name of the village, including the alternate names and also the native terms. If these terms project cultural connotation, please include with elaborating by citation the source (say the oral narration). Languages (dialects) spoken in the villages should be also be included in this section; comparison of few words (say body parts) with other Poula varieties to show similarity ( or variations) is a good way to do.

Section 2. Geography

This section should include the description of the geographical location of the village. Please include if there are legends that explain the semantic of the place. The inclusion of explicit photos and a map is encouraged. Name of the colonies (areas) and streets that are considered significant in the village can also be included.

This section should include the story migration (if available) from recent place to the new location and provide a description of how this village was established/formed. All these claims should base on oral narration from the elders, their views should be respected; In addition, proper citation/acknowledgment should be made, for all the oral narrations. It is important to keep in mind that oral narrations are never the same/exact from person to person, so the inclusion of these variations show an objective, good research work. The inclusion of pictures of the narrators (by taking their consent) and places that explain the history in relation to your description is encouraged.

Section 4. Indigenous sites

This section should include the description of those locations that have cultural values like the monolith or any others, locals usually consider these places as tourist’s spot. The inclusion of pictures is encouraged.

Section 5. Traditional attires

This section should include the description of the traditional attires that villagers consider valuable; the inclusion of the unique features that are particular for the village is encouraged.

Section 6. Social system

This section should include the description of the unions or organizations in the village; their history, mode of functioning, and roles within the community could be included. This section should include the description, both past and present, the role of the men and women in the society.

Section 7. Judicial system

This section should include the description of the structure and functioning of a customary law in the village. Using of examples are encouraged.

Section 8. Occupation

This section should include the description about the occupation of the people in the village, both in past and present. This section can also include the description of those places where cultivation or farming are/were carried out.

Section 9. Marriage system

This section should include the description about the norms of marriage, including both the past and present. The inclusion of narrations of real-life examples is encouraged, by interviewing the elder speakers.

Section 10. Monarchy system

This section should include the lineal descendant of the King’s family. The role (power) of the King and their significant contributions for the village can be included in this section; this should be based on oral interviews and historical records, and the proper citation should be done while including the claims (name of the consultant). This section should also include the role and functioning of the King and Queen in a village, considering both past and present.

Section 11. Cultural events

This section should include the description of the cultural events that are celebrated/observed in the village; there could be some events that are no longer practiced or observed, even these should be mentioned and described based on the oral interviews with the elders at the village.

Section 12. Summary and discussion

This section should include a summary of the description. This section can also include discussion on those unique findings that demand further research. Suggestions, encouragements, and proposal for cultural preservation and development for the particular village can be included in this section.
