Welcome to the “22nd” Annual Mitterando Father's Day …

Welcome to the “36th” Annual Mitterando Father's Day Reunion.

129 Mitterando family members and friends gathered on June 16, 2012 at Bethpage State Park for the 35th annual family reunion. On the eve of the reunion, Kimberly Coco, Gianna Pelliccia, Nicholas Hydo, Olivia Pellicca and Victoria Pelliccia made the signs that would be proudly displayed along the picnic route.

The youngest Mitterando in attendance was Santino Kizis (great grandson of Pep and Margie Cervone, grandson of Dick and Bridget Cervone and son of Melissa Cervone Kizis and Eric Kizis.) I don't think I want to name the oldest Mitterando that attended! We welcomed back many Mitterandos after several years' absence.

The weather was perfect! It was sunny with a slight breeze and the temperature topped 77 degrees. The picnic area for the most part was in the shade but patches with warm and toasty sun could be found.

Charlie Hydo, Tony Pelliccia, Anthony Pelliccia, Nicholas Hydo, Matthew Coco and Zachary Hydo arrived early to stake out the best area, rearrange the tables, do cleanup and start the traditional decorating. The Hydo girls, Cheryl, Renee and Christina pitched in. Shortly after Ellen LaRocca, Joyce Corvino, Dale Ingenito and Irene Berg assisted Charlie Hydo to cook and set up for breakfast. Judy Cervone, Kimberly Coco, Danielle LaRocca and Victoria Pelliccia had stopped at various locations to hang signs and joined in setting up and decorating.

2012 Picnic dancers were Grace Cervone, Nicole and Veronica Cervone, Julia and Isabella Mitterando, Isabella, Olivia and Victoria Mitterando and Victoria Pelliccia. Special appearance by Zach Hydo, father and son duo Louie and Richie Mitterando, and Darryl Mitterando and friend Anthony. They all danced to "Mambo Italiano" and "Papa Loves Mambo" choreographed by Carolann Cervone Elias.

Ronald Cervone proudly accepted the 2013 Father of the Year.

Many of the family members hit the softball field. There were what seemed like dozens playing both the outfield and the infield. There were lots of spectators and everyone enjoyed the games. The smaller kids put the playground to great use under the watchful eyes of the teen family members. Most of all it gave everyone the opportunity to talk and reminisce.

The time together never seems to be enough. It was another wonderful reunion.

THE FACTS - NOTHING BUT THE FACTS

New trade for Laura and Nicole Vingara -- They are becoming Glass Blowers after making beautiful glass ornaments during a visit to Corning Glass Works in Corning New York.

Big news this year.  Jim Mitterando and his kids Elizabeth (soon to be 12) and David (age 10) merged families with Karin Cassel and her two daughters Montanna (age 13) and Tess (age 8).  They also merged pets so they now have one dog and three cats. They are now the “Brady Bunch” except they wish they could have an Alice to help out as well.  In fact, don’t we all need an Alice to cook and clean, etc.  We can dream.

On Mother's Day the Blauvelts, Hydos, Pellicias, Judy and Carolann spent a fun day at Jones Beach. Our annual game of Mothers’ Balls on the sand went on as scheduled before the winds picked up and had to relocate to the parking lot. Carolann made her Mothers’ Ball premier filling in for Katie. Another game was developed in the parking lot by Larry, Charlie and the kids- probably will be another Mothers’ Day tradition!!

Hard to believe that Gianna Pelliccia will be 21 in Sept. and a senior at Mount Saint Mary College! She keeps busy as a Cheerleader and spends the summers working at Adventureland (and going to the beach.... Tobay, Smith Pt., Myrtle). She really does find fun and adventure in everything she does. She makes us laugh and we miss her while she's gone.

Jim Mitterando and family are still living in Cohasset, Massachusetts which is a beautiful beachside community south of Boston.  Karin loves doing yoga and works as a Director of Development and Communications raising money to take care of homeless youth and has a new job this summer where she will be providing homeless and veterans with privately subsidized affordable housing.

Kudos to Irene and Howard Berg for driving all the way from Florida through Tropical Storm Andrea to make it to this year’s picnic.  They had a long, miserable drive through the storm but were determined to make it with us here today.  There is not much that will keep the Berg’s away from our annual reunion.

Denise Mitterando missed her profession in life. She should have been a veterinarian! Ask her yourself “Denise loves animals more than she likes some people.”

Easter Weekend 2012 – Our family got to go see Motown on Broadway and have terrific dinner on Arthur Avenue. The next day was a great blessing to have siblings Laurie Monteforte, Dale Ingenito, Robin Ingenito and Bill James all gathered to celebrate the day. Enjoying the traditional pork roasted pork, potatoes and sauerkraut dinner on Grandma Dolly Ingenito's Desert Rose China. What a great day!

Jim Mitterando is a family doctor and moved jobs two years ago to a larger practice and loves his job.  He still loves bicycling and even is doing a triathlon later this month.  Jim and Karin are hoping to go to Paris this Fall.

Lou, Billy and Rich Mitterando headed to opening day at Citifield. They cheered the Mets on to their first win for the season and took part in the start of a new trend in right field -- "Doin' the Byrd." I guess we'll have to go to more games as the Mets have not won many games since :(

Jim Mitterando and the family are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Mitterando picnic. It has been three years since they have been able to attend. It will be the first time Karin, Montanna and Tess will be experiencing the full Mitterando Madness of cross-dressing, beer drinking and fun day.

Laura did it again! She made arrangements to take Craig, Dale and Laurie to see James Taylor. The evening was perfect, sat in the 7th row and enjoyed seeing Craig so happy to see one of his favorite musical performers. On their way to the theater Dale researched and found a great barbecue restaurant and everyone enjoyed the food. Craig liked the ribs so much that they went back to celebrate his 49th birthday.

Well now we don’t see Rick, Denise and Nicholas Mitterando for the weekends till September! While the New York side is camping on the beach, the Jersey side is boating on the lakes. Dee (The Jersey Side)

Irene Berg, Howard Berg and Dale Ingenito were Jaclyn Shafer’s guests at Family Day at Cape Canaveral in November.  They got to see how the weather professionals do their work to support the launches and got an in-depth tour of Jaclyn’s area (the Applied Meteorological Unit) – they do some very cool stuff.  They even got a tour of the launch control room. Thanks, Jac!

Bucket List - Laura Vingara took Mom (Laurie Monteforte) to Barkley Center to see her all time favorite singer Barbra Streisand… Incredible three hour performance from one of the world’s greatest singers.. Thank you Laura… You fill my life with love, joy, happiness, fun, excitement and excitement

Hurricane Sandy did havoc at Scott and Heidi Borawski's home in Babylon. Forced to move out, they are now living in Baldwin until their new "raised" home is finished. Five adults, two kids and two dogs bring new adventures every day, but we are all making the best of it (as long as we are quiet on Keith's days off)!

Laura you never stop amazing me with your caring, loving and time you spend enriching our lives. Words can never express how much I love and appreciate all you do for us… Love, Mother

Melissa Kizis's photography business is really starting to take off! Her favorite thing to photograph is newborns... She had the pleasure of photographing Gregory Van Lowe at just about 2 weeks old - what an adorable baby he is!!!  You can see some of her work by visiting her facebook page or her website:

KID’S CORNER

Rose Hydo is now 2 years old. She is adored by all that know her. Her big brothers and sisters cannot wait to get home from school each day to see her.

Michelle Van Lowe, the lil princess now with three brothers, is such a great helper! She loves to hold Gregory and help feed and change him. Mommy (Dee) is happy to have another girl around with all these boys!

Isabella Mitterando (age 12) has been expanding her musical repertoire -- now jamming on the electric guitar. Isabella has performed with her trombone in a number of jazz and big bands in her school and the nearby high school.

Would someone please teach Rose Hydo how to tell time. Her timing was off when she was heard late night serenading during Cousins Week 2012 – in the Vingara/Monteforte Camper. Who could be mad that it was only 3 am since she was so proud of herself? After all Old McDonald had a farm.. EE-I-EE-I-O.

Denise Mitterando and Eddie Celardo’s little baby girl Caboo at 11 months already weighs in at over 100 lbs. (Okay so their kid has four legs and paws!) She is a beautiful Greater Swiss Mountain dog.

• She should be one smart cookie, but we are still working on that! She has participated in Puppy Class, Basic Obedience, K9 Nose Training, Treadmill Training (need to get a treadmill to keep her tired), and Show Handling Classes

• Caboo participated in her first dog show Memorial Day Weekend and received one first place, two second place and one third place ribbons.

• She loves to participate in all the fun at doggy daycare and has been known at a role model for the breed at Paws-itive Experience in Rockaway, NJ

Victoria Mitterando (age 10) has started her own baking business -- Bake My Day. Her cakes and cupcakes have received rave reviews. Look for her on the Next Great Baker in a few years.

Alexis LeBlanc (Lexi) just amazes us with her endless energy. She was an extremely busy first grader this year. She received a special award from her teacher for showing great kindness to her classmates. Lexi started out the year as a cheerleader where her little team rocked the competitions with her mom, Adrienne LeBlanc as their coach. She also balanced 3 dance classes all year long and gymnastics class and she is currently loving playing soccer with her team. She also is involved in Girl Scouts. She is looking forward to adding the Dance Team at her mom's dance school to her repertoire next year. She is such a hard worker! Lexi's schedule exhausts her parents but she just keeps going with a smile!

Zachary Hydo is finishing up 4th grade. He had a busy year being in the band, chorus, orchestra and the Argonauts program for the high achievers. He spends his time playing basketball and baseball and can throw an awesome frisbee.

Christopher Van Lowe at age four attended his first concert in December....The Rascals,  just like his Grandpa Michael Cervone's first concert in 1968.  His Mommy Dee Van Lowe, Grandpa, Aunt Jill, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Dicky and Cousins Melissa and Eric were all there to share this special night too.

All the kids are doing well in school.  Liz Mitterando is in 6th grade.  She loves art and playing tennis and is looking forward to attending sleep away camp in New Hampshire this summer.  David is in 4th grade and loves video games such as Minecraft and loves to fish.  Montanna is in 7th grade and loves gymnastics and tennis and is also looking forward to sleep away camp on Cape Cod this summer.  Tess is in 2nd grade and loves love monkeys, moshi monsters, tennis and gymnastics.

Vincent Van Lowe is quite the character. He is almost two and loves music! (Big surprise!) He can already sing a few different songs...the list includes The Rascals "Land of 1000 Dances", "Tequila" and his favorites being his Grandpa Michael Cervone's songs "Sky Chaser" and "'Borrowed Time".

Santino James Kizis turned one in February.  We celebrated with a Yo Gabba Gabba dancey dance party with lots of home-made decorations and treats (mommy is very crafty!).  Grandma made an awesome Brobee cake!  All the kids AND adults had a great time!

Christina Hydo just completed her first year in middle school. She has made the principle's honor roll each semester. She keeps busy playing basketball, volleyball and softball.

Christopher Van Lowe has had so much fun in his first year of school. We are so proud of how well he has done in Pre K at St. Peter's! He is even learning his prayers! Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Cervone would be proud!!

Victoria Pelliccia is 8 (and 1/2) and will be in the 4th grade. (Wow, she is moving up to the 2nd floor now!) She loves to do all sorts of things like gymnastics, cheerleading, twirling, and girl scouts (and pretty much anything that Gianna Pelliccia likes!)  She likes to play, play, play and spend time with her cousins too!

Juliette LeBlanc was a very busy 3rd grader. Besides her school work she was involved in Girl Scouts, Gymnastics and 3 dance classes per week at her mom Adrienne LeBlanc's Dance School. She is looking forward to performing at her school's talent show. She is very creative and artistic and she can't wait for summer where she will be able to swim again. She is a great little swimmer!

TEEN SCENE

Olivia Mitterando (age 13) has continued to grow her performing arts resume, with a lead role in the school play - the Big Bad Musical and solos in the school Chorus.  She will be appearing in the school talent show in June -- Break a leg!

Anthony Pelliccia will be 18 in August, graduated from Holy Trinity HS on June 1st and will be going to Siena College! He certainly made the best out of these past four years participating in leadership and service activities and playing all kinds of sports. He will spend the summer playing baseball, ultimate Frisbee and also working at Adventureland (along with his cousin Nicholas. Hmmm... I guess it is "who you know"). We will definitely miss his presence but are confident that he will do great things at Siena.

Nicholas Hydo is finishing his junior year of high school. He spends half his school day taking classes in video film production. He just bought himself a car and is enjoying his fun job at Adventureland.

Congrats to Olivia Mitterando! She is graduating from 8th grade in June and is off to RFH High School in September.

Nicole Vingara got her driver’s license. Mom and G’Ma celebrated with dinner at Red Robin. Not sure how many miles she has driven, but think she wore out a set of tires already. She is now working for gas money at Randazzo’s Bakery as well as the assistant manager at Bridgewater Softball field Snack Shop.

Renee Hydo is getting ready to start high school in September. She has had very successful junior high sports seasons. Her badminton team was undefeated for the past two years, the softball team only lost one game in two years and her volleyball team had a winning record both seasons as well.

Olivia Pelliccia is 14 years old and.... JUST GRADUATED 8th grade LAST NIGHT!! WOO-HOO (June 14) from Our Lady of Mercy School. She is going to St. Dominic's HS in Sept. She is quiet and sweet and LOVES to be with her cousins (and Aunts...).  She is taking on a lot of babysitting this summer! "LOVE YOU"

THE NEWEST FAMILY MEMBERS (BAMBINOS)

Ryan Joseph Borawski decided not to wait until January 25, so he arrived on January 2, 2013 at 8:36 pm weighing 8.5 lbs. Proud parents Scott and Heidi and big brother, Gavin, welcomed him home 10 days later to their "trailer by the sea" (thanks a lot Sandy!). Grandma and Grandpa Borawski and Uncle Keith are thrilled.

The Van Lowe's have now grown to a family of six! Dee and Chris welcomed their 4th child on April 2nd. Gregory Nicholas was born weighing 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19.5 inches long. Christopher, Michelle and Vincent are all so excited about their new brother!

ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY…

Laurie Monteforte had successful cataract surgery. She wasn’t able to drive for months or see her little crafts, but she is back at both again! Thanks to Laura Vingara for bringing her to all those doctor appointments!

GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Jim Mitterando’s family went to Washington DC this spring break and learned some history and science. The kids really enjoyed playing Frisbee on the Mall with the Capital building in the foreground.

Olivia Mitterando is heading off to her first sleep away camp in the Catskills.  She will be spending her days honing her acting skills, singing, dancing, as well some tennis and swimming. She'll perform in a number of shows in the final weekend, which will proudly be attended by her parents and sisters.

Dale Ingenito and a friend went on a wonderful cruise in Europe in September. They missed the first port (Monaco) due to a delay because of an airline strike, but caught up with the ship in St. Tropez, France. Other ports of call in Italy were: La Spezia, Portofino, Livorno (Lucca), Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, Capri and Taormino, Sicily.

Rich, Jim and Lou Mitterando had their 4th annual outing to Loon Mountain in New Hampshire. The highlights included the great snow conditions, Jamaican food on the summit and the hot tub after a long day of skiing.

Super Storm Sandy wasn’t going to stop Denise Mitterando and Kristeen Kohrs from getting to Maui, HI especially when Microsoft was footing the bill. Kristeen earned the trip and felt obligated to ask Denise to go. (They went to HI a few years prior, and it wasn’t the “best” experience ever!) Denise got out of Dodge (West Palm Beach, FL) a day earlier because she was afraid “the storm” was going to delay her departure. On Sunday morning Kristeen called and said they cancelled their Monday morning flight. Denise saw the whole thing just vanishing right before her eyes, but Kristeen jumped right into action. She called the airline to get their flights changed from Newark to Chicago. Denise got on the phone with the rental car agency and rented a car from Allentown, PA. Packed and ready to go in two hours flat! After a 12 hour drive (Denise drove all the way while Kristeen kept her entertained with Facebook postings), they were on their way!!

Ronnie and Lynn Cervone, Erika and Kevin, Samantha and Chris, all took a road trip to Boston, Mass in January 2013 for a family get together and for Ronald's Re-enlistment on the USS Constitution (the oldest commissioned US NAVY ship, and the oldest floating warship in the world). A good time was had by all.

Every year Liz, David and Jim Mitterando meet up with Rich Mitterando’s family (Maria, Olivia, Isabella and Victoria) from New Jersey. They meet midway from New Jersey and Massachusetts in Greenport, Long Island for a nice vacation with Grandpa Lou Mitterando.  The cousins enjoy swimming, bicycling and playing around.

The Hydo family took a vacation to Turks & Caicos in November. It was a great five days spent in the sun at the beach, pool and water park. The kids had ice cream at least 3 times a day. Rose loved running into the Sesame Street characters throughout the resort and going to the shows and parade.

Vingara/Monteforte… August found the family traveling to Niagara Falls.. John planned the most incredible vacation for us… We did “it all”… Maid of the Mist, Walked under the falls. Had dinner across from the Falls watching the spectacular water change colors…Highlight of the trip (besides the Falls) was a Jet Boat Ride which had us soaked to the skin. Laura kept asking me if I was alright as I was laughing so hard to keep from being frightened to death.

After seven days without electricity due to Sandy, the Fair Haven, NJ  Mitterandos hopped on a flight to Florida and enjoyed the electric parade at Disney. Rich was able to "work remotely" while the girls enjoyed the parks and the heated pool.

Eddie Celardo took Denise Mitterando to Vermont for their 4th anniversary. They stayed at a lovely B&B. The mountains were beautiful, and Denise even got Eddie to go horseback riding for the first time!

Jim Mitterando and Karin Cassel voyaged down to Washington DC in April with the full entourage of kids in tow -- hitting the many monuments and museums. On the way they stopped by Rich and Maria's in NJ to have a fun filled day capped off with sliders and drinks at the nearby indoor pool. Grandpa Lou was there to hang with all the grandkids and be the official life guard.

Isabella Mitterando headed off with her 6th grade class to Stokes State Park in northern NJ. Four days of roughing it, team building, nature and fun.... it's good being a kid!

Dale Ingenito, Jaclyn Shafer and Leslie Martinez will be making their annual trip Disney’s food and wine festival on Octobe

In August 2012, Ronald Cervone's submarine the USS Dallas pulled into Port Canaveral, Florida for a slightly extended visit, where Ronald was able to hang out with Jaclyn Schafer. Being cousins and only seeing each other at the picnic every year is not the same as actually hanging out, you learn so much more about your family. Jackie, thanks for hanging out and the coconut beer was good.

This year, Father's Day has new meaning to our son, Scott. In the aftermath of the storm, you made emergency arrangements so your displaced family could be together. In your "spare time" you worked tirelessly to pack and dismantle your home, while

helping rebuild your parents' flooded home. Your ambulance ride with Gavin and watching over Ryan in the NICU may have added a few gray hairs, but proved what a loving Dad you are. Grandpa and Grandma are certainly smiling down on you. With pride and love, Mom and Dad.

We all know our amazing family is too large to keep up with. That’s why we have the Mitt News. Thanks to our editor, Denise for a very time consuming job! Love ya Me

To my Godchild Olivia - You are becoming such a beautiful young woman - which makes me feel really old! Rose - Can I see your belly button? -Santino

Nicole I am so proud of the young lady you have become… G’Ma

If anyone would have told me, Denise Mitterando would go to a breeder and pay for a dog, I would never, ever believe this! This was the person who was going to save the whole population of dogs. All her dogs were mutts and she always had one or two fosters, until they were ready to be adopted. Love ya, Me

Larry, only you would understand and appreciate this! Right before the spring of last year Denise had to put her dog down because of unforeseen problems! Now springtime is here and Denise doesn’t have a dog. (This would have been 20 plus years without one).  Larry, do you know anyone who would want to borrow a dog until her puppy was ready to come home? Denise visited the breeder to play with the momma and mentioned something about coming home with her since she wouldn’t miss her since she had nine others. Well the breeder said she would miss her, but that maybe one of the others could come for a sleepover. Well that was in April and the puppies were born in July. Denise was there about once a week playing with the puppies once they were born. The breeder wasn’t going to release them until they were 12 weeks old though (in September). Now stay with me Larry, there is more to come! Do you remember the song “It’s a Small, Small World?” The breeder’s dog that came for a “sleepover” was the grandmother of the puppy named Sophia. Sophia was an older dog, very laid back, sweet and happy. Sophia just wanted to play for awhile, be fed let her out when she had to go, have her hiney scratched and be comfortable. Sophia was the type who greeted Denise’s friends, laid back down and just watched what was going on. Now here comes Caboo, the granddaughter of Sophia! Caboo bonded very well with her grandmother, Sophia. In the short time they were together grandma showed her granddaughter the ropes. While Sophia was good with the crazy little puppy in the mornings, by afternoon Sophia liked to nap. Caboo what can I say, she was a puppy, that I understand but she was like the energizer bunny. I wondered if the breeder slipped some oats in her food. This breeder believed in raw food for her dogs. Caboo was extremely nippy, but an adorable puppy. Ok Larry here comes my big end of my story. God only knows what she pays for Caboo’s food. Now we don’t have room for Caboo’s food in the freezer, so she had to get a freezer. If the power goes out, there goes the money for the cost of the food. So now we need a generator!!!!!!!!! Please tell me what this world is coming to…… Love ya Denise! Me

I know I missed my profession in life! I really should have been a professional gambler. Love it, Love it

Laura - Thanks for all of the driving and the many, many, many trips to the Eye Dr’s this past year. Thanks for holding my hand crossing the street. Writing out my checks, handling all of the paperwork during the months my vision was so impaired. Thanks to you and great Drs I can see again… R 20/20 ,L 20/40

Eric - Happy father's day to the coolest dad around! Thank you so much for all you do for Santino and me.  We love you to the moon and back!!!

Eddie -- Keep up with the awesome job you are doing on the landscaping. I hear you have a lot of people in the hood jealous! Denise’s mom

Lots of Love to Craig - Goal almost accomplished. Walking Kristina down the aisle without the use of a cane… Great Dad, Beautiful Daughter

Craig – Another good year for you and now you get to walk your daughter down the aisle. Keep up the good work. – Love, Your Godmother

The Vingara's with Grandma Laurie in tow hit the road last August for a week in Niagara Falls, Canada. What an amazing vacation we had. John Vingara planned the whole thing! More to everyone's surprise Laura Vingara went along for the ride. We started out in Corning, NY taking the tour and making glass ornaments and beads. Then we headed over to the falls. Each day we were found taking in the sites. Some days we even hit the ground literally when both Laura and Laurie fell. Nicole, Grandma and Laura even walked to the United States – and were found ½ in Canada and ½ in the US. We took Laurie Monteforte on her first very wet Jet Boat tour. She sat behind us trying to avoid getting wet and was heard gasping for air and laughing as each wave came up over the bow of the boat hitting us in the face. We were ALL in awe of the amazing falls. John booked a wonderful birthday dinner for Laura complete with perfect timing so we could enjoy the fireworks over the falls. Each day was better than the day before as Laura Vingara was found speechless still in awe of the Falls. Guess it was a true vacation for all! Thanks John Vingara for planning such a terrific memorable trip to a truly spectacular place. It's was great, Eh?

CA -- Love our Aqueduct excursions.

Thank you to everyone for the opportunity to be the 2012 Father of the Year. It was a wonderful year, and I am truly thankful for being recognized in such an incredible family, which has had some real "super pops" in the past. I wish I could be there this year to present this year’s FOTY award, but regretfully we will not be making the trip.

Thanks to my wife Jen, she is the reason our family stays afloat (no pun intended). With all the time I spend away each year, it takes a lot on her part to keep our family running. So for all that she does all year long I am grateful and thankful, and hope that she knows this throughout the year.

Denise -- The house looks great! The wide white trim gives the house a very classy look. Now, I could see why you didn’t want any shutters. That white trim just makes everything pop!

Cousin Dale - Love your place. Next time we are coming for dinner. Ca

To my parents Ronnie and Lynn -- You guys have been the best grandparents any kids could ask for, they love being with you guys. Sometimes I think Roman likes "Pop Pop" more than daddy. I know us moving has been hard on you guys, but it is only for a few short years and there is always Facebook and Skype outside of your vacations to visit.

To Grandma Margie -- For all she taught us about family, wine and Frank Sinatra. Grace sang NY NY on the seven hour plane ride from Denver to Honolulu with her headphones on, at least a half a dozen times. The people around us thought it was cute, but all I could do was think of Grandma Margie and her lasting impressions, even on the youngest among us.

Thanks to everyone who came out to say hello before we flew out, it was great to see everyone, looking forward to your visits!

Ronald, Jen, Grace and Roman -- Sure will miss you but cherish this opportunity. Keep the hula going. Ronald, stay safe keeping us safe. Love Aunt Judy

Congratulations to my many nieces and nephews that have graduated from middle, high school and college and those working hard to earn their degrees. My sisters, brothers, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws also deserve a lot of credit! Love Aunt Judy

Congrats to Erika and Kevin and Samantha and Chris on your engagements. Love Aunt Judy

A special thank you to my nephew Rich on taking me to my first Mets Opening Day ever!

• And for picking me up in the Camaro

• And for the beer

• And for arranging for the Mets to win

Craig M. -- I'm glad I've reconnected with my cousin after all those years you were out of the area. I enjoy having a few beers with you, and hearing all your crazy stories. Billy

To my wonderful wife Karen -- Two years ago we spent our anniversary in a snowstorm in Pennsylvania. This year it was a hurricane without electricity in New Jersey. What can we expect next year? Locusts? Asteroid?

MITTERANDO MEMORIES

To Bill and Sadie Mitterando - We miss you every day, but especially on this "family" day. Your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

With a family like the Mitterandos they are constantly being created!
