Hybrid publishers are a combination between traditional and self-publishing. They pay a royalty, but may not pay that royalty until book sales have reached a certain sales threshold. Usually no upfront fees. They may pay a higher royalty than traditional publishers because they are first getting their investment back in sales before paying any royalties to you.

As you consider each option, remember to subtract any upfront investment in your book to determine just how many books you'll have to sell to recoup that investment and begin to make a profit.

Example based on a book 5x8, 200 pages
