We do what is right and champion those who cannot champion themselves (even if no one is watching!).Required Competition CategoriesBelow is a basic outline of each judged category at state. Keep in mind that we offer workshops and trainings that dive further into the details of each process leading up to the state pageant, so be sure to attend or watch those trainings to be privy to tips, tricks, and more from experienced experts. Runway Fun Fashion – ALL DIVISIONS - not included in pageant scoring, but winner of runway show will be awarded at the state pageant final – This fun, high energy segment fuses fashion with a fun!Little Miss, Pre-Teen, Jr. Teen, Teen – Summer LovinMiss, Mrs., Ms., Ms. Woman – Hamptons WeekendAll delegates will participate in the runway show. Your fun fashion should align with our annual theme. Below are two examples that represent what we are looking for on the runway. Please note that outfits should be very well thought out and well put together. Your average Halloween costume is not going to work on the runway. Please remember this is a very high quality production and our wardrobe pieces should all reflect this. You cannot wear your evening gown that you intend to wear for state for this segment if you choose to wear another gown. Please ensure your look meets the guidelines and expectations by getting it approved by staff to ensure quality and prevent repeat outfits.Talent Showcase – ALL DIVISIONS - not included in pageant scoring, but winner of runway show will be awarded at the state pageant finalParticipation in this category is strongly encouraged but not required and not included in the pageant title scoring. Our talent showcase takes place alongside our runway show the evening before state. Dancers, vocalists, actors, martial arts, rhythmic gymnastics, cheerleading, cultural dances, baton twirling, and the list goes on! We want to show off the many sides of our incredible delegates.Opening Number Dress – Littles, Pre-Teen, Jr. Teen & Teen Divisions will wear solid White dresses of your choice. Miss, Ms, Ms Woman & Mrs Divisions will wear solid Black dresses of your choice. Little Miss & Pre-Teen Division Competition CategoriesPersonality Interview – 25% (Little Miss & Pre-Teen Divisions only)Each delegate will be briefly interviewed one on one with our judges round robin style. This is a very fun, non-threatening experience that will reveal their personality and their ability to communicate. Questions are light hearted and non-stressful.Sportswear – 25% (Little Miss & Pre-Teen Divisions only)Our littlest delegates will wear black shorts, our official state t-shirt, and white tennis shoes. Judges will be focused on modeling abilities, personality, confidence, and stage presence. You are not allowed to alter the t-shirts in any way but cutting, adding embellishment, or tying the shirt in any way. Each delegate is on equal ground in this segment and identical to one another. Shoes must be plain white sneakers with no embellishments and plain white athletic style socks are required.Formal Wear – 25% (Little Miss & Pre-Teen Divisions only)Our little delegates will wear a gown of choice during this segment. Please note we are NOT a glitz pageant and we expect to see gowns, not glitz dresses. These dresses can be floor length or hi-low style only. Shoes for Princess and Little Miss should be flats, not heels for safety reasons. Pre-Teens are permitted to wear kitten heels of not more than 1” in height. Delegates will remain in their gown for on stage question (princesses do not participate in on stage question)On Stage Question – 25% (Little Miss & Pre-Teen divisions only)The top placements in each age division will be asked an on stage question. Questions will be supplied in advance of the pageant, but delegates will not know which question they will get out of the questions given until the moment on stage that they draw it from a bowl. Questions are very light hearted and age appropriate and delegates are judged based on their personality, their ability to communicate an idea, and their confidence in speaking.Jr. Teen, Teen, Miss, Mrs., Ms., Ms. Woman Competition CategoriesPersonal Interview – 25%Our interview process is round-robin style meaning you get personal, one on one time with each judge. Judges will have access to your bio and your platform. Be prepared to share what actions you have taken to support and advocate for your platform and why you chose that particular platform. Judges will be looking for strong convictions in regard to your platform and see that you’ve chosen it carefully based on your own life experiences and worldview. You will also be judged on your communication skills, your attire and personal presentation. You must put together a polished appearance in every detail from your shoes to your hair and makeup. The total picture is essential during this phase. You will be judged on the confidence of the answers you give, how articulate you are, how graceful you are under pressure, your composure, and how well you can carry on a natural conversation. Evening Gown – 25%Choosing your gown is of utmost importance for this segment. You should choose a gown that is age appropriate, that flatters your shape and body type, that compliments your skin tone and hair color, and that showcases your personal tastes. Gowns should be floor length and of the highest levels of glam. Fashion forward choices are highly encouraged. Wedding gowns, hi-low cuts, and cocktail attire are not allowed. This is a red carpet event! Judges will be looking for sophistication and refinement. Here are a couple examples of highly successful gown choices:Example for the younger divisions (princess, little miss, and pre-teen divisions can wear floor length and high-low dresses!):Swimwear – 25%Delegates wear a one or two piece swimsuit with a matching wrap on stage. Thongs, string bikinis, Brazilian back bikinis, scandalous cutouts, and fitness competition type suits are prohibited. Family friendly swimwear is the only acceptable swimwear. Onstage Question – 25%The top placements in each age division will be asked an on stage question in front of the audience. This allows judges to evaluate a delegate’s quick thinking and evaluation skills, the ability to speak well in a public format, and discuss her opinions with conviction and eloquence. Awarded CategoriesWe offer several fun awards at our stage pageant to further recognize our amazing delegates that all delegates are considered for:Photogenic This category is judged based on your headshot. This award is conducted online on social media through a voting system.CongenialityThis award is the ultimate compliment as it is judged by your fellow delegates! One delegate in each age division will be chosen based on their friendship, kindness, and support of her fellow pageant sisters and recognized onstage at the state pageant.Best Interview This award goes to the delegates with the highest interview scoreBest FitnessThis award goes to the delegates with the highest swimwear scoreBest Evening GownThis award goes to the delegates with the highest evening gown scoreBest On-Stage QuestionThe award goes to the delegate with the highest on stage question scoreBest TalentThis award goes to the best talent in the optional talent portionBest RunwayThis award goes to the delegate that puts in the most creativity in their runway outfit. Any and all monies paid are non-refundable under any circumstance and for any reason. By applying as a state delegate you agree that you understand this and are bound by this clause. None, some or all fees can be paid through sponsored monies.State Delegate Rules and RegulationsThe following code of conduct governs our state delegates and title holders at all times, so become very familiar with them. These points and MORE appear in your delegate contract so please be sure to read your contract in full to determine what your financial obligations and what is expected from a state delegate and our title holders. Failure to adhere to our rules, regulations, and code of conduct could result in termination of your local title and forfeiture of any and all fees and monies paid by individual delegates, sponsors, friends and family or any other source.I understand I am a representative of RDS Crown Productions and the United States National Pageant System with and without my crown and sash on during the duration of my participation and subsequent reign if I am titled. I agree to present a positive image according to the core values at all times in person, online, and through other means of communication via email, telephone, etc.I agree to make myself available during the competition period at state, nationals, and during my subsequent reign if titled. I will fully participate in, engage with, and maintain a positive attitude throughout any and all pageant activities.I agree to conduct myself at all times (even when not wearing my crown and sash) with the highest degrees of personal integrity, moral and ethical values and agree that the pageant staff has the right to terminate or disqualify delegates whom they feel are guilty of misconduct. I understand that while I am representing RDS Crown Productions and the United States National Pageant system in crown and sash, during appearances and pageant events, I will not consume or be holding alcoholic beverages. I will also not post any photos of such activities even if the event occurred in my time outside pageant activities. I understand that RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System and its staff, associates, sponsors, volunteers, and venues are not responsible for lost, misplaced, stolen property and will not be held liable for any injuries, illnesses or accidents that occur during appearances, traveling to and from events, pageants, workshops, trainings, fun gatherings, parties, social events, or any other pageant event for me, my friends and associates, staff, or family members in any location throughout the United States and/or its territories. I further agree that any missing property is my own financial lability. I understand that I am fully responsible for any and all medical expenses related to the above including physicians’ fees, ambulance and emergency care, and any and all medications while participating in any and all RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System events. I hereby release RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System of any and all liabilities related to my health and safety during any pageant event or gathering and understand that I take responsibility to ensure my person and my belongings are properly taken care of and/or stored appropriately.I agree to abide by the rules, regulations, agreements and other instructions and stipulations, verbal or written, as set down by the Pageant. If a serious violation is determined and I am disqualified, I relinquish the title and all legal claims, actions, suits or liabilities against the RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System Pageant and its assigns now and in the future, regardless of any and all situations. I fully understand that if I am unable to fulfill my duties after obtaining a title, including competing at nationals, my title will be passed to the first runner up and I will forfeit any monies paid completely to that date. I also agree to return any and all prizes and awards given to be passed to the new title holder. If I am unable to return prizes, I agree that I will pay back the cash value of the prize to the state director to refund the prize sponsor or give to the queen taking my place, however it is understood that RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System is under no obligation to award the new queen any of the prizes or award from the previous title holder. I further understand that I will be responsible for the $1000 fine should I not attend nationals, relinquish my title, have my title stripped from me for misconduct, or fail to fulfill my duties as queen.I understand that sponsored prizes are at the obligation of the sponsor and not of RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System.I understand that RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System and its affiliates will take my photos and use my photos, headshot, likeness, event photos that I may be present in, and my name in marketing materials, collateral and program books, in social media campaigns, in print, and any other way RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System sees fit. I hereby grant them permission to take photos throughout the events I am present at and release them to RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System as owner and with all rights of publication. I agree to make every possible effort to be present as a state delegate at any appearances or volunteer services facilitated by pageant staff. If I am not able to make it to these events, I agree to discuss it with my director PRIOR to the event itself. I further understand that should I become a title holder, I will be required to make appearances that are booked on my behalf to represent my pageant and title in my community.I understand that if I am a first runner up and asked to succeed the queen title holder, I will be bound by the rules and regulations of title holders and fulfill all commitments and responsibilities set forth.I understand that I am to sign a contract with all of these rules and regulations including more before I am permitted to pay my registration fee and become a state delegate. I understand that drama and cattiness are against the core values of RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System. I understand that starting or perpetuating rumors, gossiping about other delegates, making disparaging remarks, bullying, making negative comments or otherwise making another delegate uncomfortable, hurt, or insecure is grounds of termination of my local title and my participating in the RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System pageant in any location for a duration of two years.I understand that I am required to purchase a pre-determined production outfit for my state’s opening number. I agree to purchase the color and style determined by the national team for all state systems and understand that substitutions are not permitted. I further agree that I am forbidden from making alterations to the style of the dress including making it shorter than what is required between the pageant and the designer. You will not be permitted to make any alterations whatsoever to the design itself.Important NotesYou are required to attend all rehearsals, be present on time, and fully engagedPrincess and Little Miss division delegates are discouraged from wearing heels.Pre-Teens are encouraged to wear no more than a 1” kitten heelJr. Teen and older age divisions are required to wear heels for opening number, evening gown, personality fun fashion and interview of no less than 2” and appropriate footwear will be discussed in detail during coaching and training.You are required to sell 10 tickets to the Pageant or you will pay an additional $300SponsorshipDid you know all of your costs including your dress and accessories and your fees are all payable through sponsorship? In our past experiences, we have known of delegates who haven’t paid a single dime for their pageant experience. Of course, these girls were quite motivated, but it’s very attainable if you try! We offer an entire sponsorship packet to each of our delegates including receipts and a sponsor request letter from the state staff on behalf of the state delegate. We want every girl and woman have the chance to experience her true potential here at RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System. That’s why we support you through the process with high quality materials and training. Social MediaMost, if not all of you will have some form of social media and texting abilities. Whether it be Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or whatever platform comes into popularity, over 75% of the American population uses some or multiple forms of social media. Your social media footprint is permanent. Screenshots are common to record Tweets before they can be deleted. Text messages are kept. FB posts can be found on cache. RDS Crown Productions and the United States Pageant System has a very strong and high moral code of conduct and system of core values. While you are participating in and representing the pageant as a delegate, title holder, previous title holder, or applicant, you are expected to maintain a positive, moral, ethical, and completely appropriate social media presence. This includes not posting photos of you in questionable clothing or amounts of clothing, not sending questionable texts, not posting political or religious opinions, and not engaging in arguments concerning topics that are questionable in nature to our standards and core values. Every photo and word you put into the virtual world is a reflection of you as a person and, in turn, on the pageant. Please see our code of conduct for consequences of poor behavior on your title and winnings. ................
