Educational Objectives

❑ Students will apply matrix operations to problem solve concepts involving geometric transformations.

❑ Students will learn how to think algorithmically.

❑ Students will utilize organizational skills and strategic planning.

❑ Students learn to troubleshoot and resolve problems using various resources.

ANIMATION PROJECT

OBJECTIVE

Write and execute a program that will produce a series of transformations on a particular figure (or group of figures.)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Your program must include the following:

1. An introduction picture that includes your name and a final picture of your choice (utilizing the StorPic command).

2. The use of at least one of each kind of transformation (rotation, size, scale, translation, reflection), either as a single transformation or a composite transformation.

ITEMS DUE

❑ Diagram or graph of the figure(s) being animated.

❑ Printout of your program downloaded from your calculator into Word. Your program should be edited in Word to a “readable” format including section headings, comments and descriptions, etc….

❑ Your program downloaded into my calculator for you to present to the class. You must be able to explain the structure of your program and answer any student questions.
