Night Essay Checklist > Due with Final Essay Draft on Thursday

The final step in your Night essay is to proofread your final draft. Do not submit your final draft until you have carefully proofread your own essay. Read through every point on this checklist and make sure you have met the standard. Go through the list one by one and check your essay as you go. This checklist must be turned in with your final essay and is worth 20 points. Checking off an item that does not appear in your essay will result in a loss of points.

Next, include some background information about the book. Mention the author’s name, the title of the book and what the book is about. Also, include information about the book’s setting. Where and when does it take place? Finally, end your introduction with your three-part thesis statement.

Your first body paragraph starts here. Make sure you use a transition word in your topic sentence.
