You will focus on finding just a missing side length within a right-angled triangle. To do this watch the video here. The key to this is to make sure you rearrange the equation carefully. If you end up with an answer that is negative, you will have done something wrong in the calculation. Remember a length in the real world can’t be negative.Once you have watched the video, then please have a go at the questions in the maths section of the virtual learning site. These are all about fining the missing side, you will need to either multiply or divide using either sine, cosine or tangent. The last few questions of the document are designed to be an extension. Please use the answers document to mark your work, email me with how you have got on at; ian.white@ Lesson 2For the second lesson this week, I want you to focus on reinforcing the use of trigonometry. You will focus on finding just the missing angle within a right-angled triangle. To do this watch the video here. The key to this is to make sure you use the inverse function of the sine, cosine and tangent functions on your calculator.Once you have watched the video, then please have a go at the questions in the maths section of the virtual learning site. These are about finding the missing angle, however questions 3 and 4 of the document are designed to be an extension - you will need to use this lesson, but also the work from lesson 1 or Pythagoras’ theorem. Please use the answers document to mark your work, email me with how you have got on at; ian.white@Remember if you need any further support then please email me!
