July 6, 2020Temporary Process for Licensed EMS and Ambulette Agencies to Obtain or Renew Vehicle Registrations at the BMVAs most of you are aware, due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have stopped performing inspection on licensed services that are renewing or making changes to their service. We have implemented a temporary self -inspection process. Therefore, we are not issuing vehicle decals needed to obtain or renew vehicle registrations. Licensed services have two options to renew their vehicle registrations. If your vehicle registration (including plates and stickers) expired on or after March 9, 2020, your expiration date has been automatically extended until 90 days after Ohio's state of emergency ends or December 1, 2020, whichever comes first. Contact the Division of EMS / Medical Transportation and provide the fax number of the BMV that you will be going to and we can fax documents to the BMV that will allow you to renew. To obtain new vehicle registration for additional vehicles follow #2 above. As of June 1, 2020, inspections resumed for services applying for their initial license. A license certificate and vehicle decal(s) will be issued upon passing inspection. The vehicle decal card can be used to obtain vehicle registrations. Please contact the Division of EMS, Medical Transportation section if you have any questions ................
