ITTF-Oceania & Table Tennis Australia are seeking an Oceania Para Development Officer to commence in June 2017. The successful applicant will be mainly responsible for the implementation of the 2017 – 2018 “Smash Down Barriers” Oceania Table Tennis Disability program. The Smash Down Barriers program objectives are:Increased Inclusive Participation Improved Quality of life of People with DisabilityThe position is advertised as a contract through to the 31st of July 2018 with a view to extend this contract pending Federal Government funding approval.This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated person to have a direct impact on the lives of people with disability living in Pacific Island Countries and to make a significant contribution to the development of para table tennis in Oceania. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with people with disability, and living or working in developing countries is essential. A background in table tennis or sport development is desirable, but not essential. The Oceania Para Development Officer will be required to spend significant periods of time in the below targeted countries to achieve the program objectives.
