FIBROMYALGIA

The prevalence of fibromyalgia in Europe and North America is between 0.5% to 5%. The female to male ratio is 3:1. The incidence is highest in 20 -55 years and the prevalence increases with age, reaching 7% of women at 60- 80 years. This suggests that fibromyalgia is a chronic problem with very low rates of spontaneous resolution. ................
