Bible Study II

Praise The Lord Everyone, Here is a little Bible Study for you to help keep all of you sharp in the Word of God.

First, I want to encourage all families who do not have them to purchase the books "Rightly Dividing The Word Of Truth" and "Dispensational Truth" both written by Mr. Clarence Larkin and can be purchased at any Christian Book Store. There is a book store named John 3:21 located in New Carrollton.

Now, To Our Bible Study.

Read The Article And Answer The Questions.

Israel is compared in the scriptures to "Three Trees". The "Vine", the "Fig-Tree" and the "Olive Tree". The trees stand for the fruitfulness of the land. Of course everyone should know the name of the land that Israel inherited when they came out of Egypt. They were led into the wilderness by Moses and all should know the name of the man who led them in conquering that land. Hint "spies were sent to check on the land”. Everyone also should know what name Jacob was given when his name was changed. Jesus came through the tribe of Judah and eventually will sit (rule) upon the throne of Israel.

The "Vine" is a symbol of Israel's Spiritual privileges. The "Fig-Tree" is a symbol of Israel's National privileges, and the "Olive Tree" is a symbol of Israel's Religious privileges. Read Psalm 80:8-11. Read Numbers 13:26-33. Isaiah 5:1-2. St.Matthew 24:3;32-35;St.Mark 11:12-14.

Let Us Look At Something Else.

All the inhabitants upon the earth are classified into three groups of people. They are either considered "Jew" "Gentile" or "The Church". When we look at the Bible, it is a "Revelation" of God of the "Fall of Man", "The Way of Salvation", and of "God's Plan and Purpose in the Ages". The Bible speaks of the "Triune" God. Triune meaning one person manifesting himself in three ways or offices. He does not hold these offices "conjointly", at the same time but successively". Meaning one after the other. In the case of God he is "Father in Creation" because he made us. He is "Son in Redemption" because the Eternal Spirit came to us in humanity or in the human flesh or body like we have so he could communicate personally with his creation. He is the "Spirit" Holy Ghost in redemption the Spirit He gives to us to help us to overcome in this life and to reign with him forever. Yet always remember that he is the self-same person (one individual) that does all of these things. Not Two or three persons, but one!  All of this is called the "Threefold Work" of Christ. Namely, "Prophet", "Priest" and "King". Christ is the Prophet foretold by Moses, Read Deut.18:15 and Acts 3:19-26. His " Prophetic Work" extends from His Creation to His Ascension" His "Priestly Work" extends from His Ascension to the Rapture of the Church.; and His "Kingly Work" from His Revelation at the close of the Tribulation Period, until He surrenders the Kingdom to the Father, that "God may be All and in All. 1st Corinthians 15:28.
